What a joke...4 years of watching this mophead wasn't enough to see he is just a waste of space on the roster?? Losing faith if this is the way they end up going, we got lots of tweener bottom 6 guys who are older, why not give Bailey a younger guy with great speed a chance before Mr. Own Goal

Settle down, it is merely a money saving move. The Canucks/Aquiliini don't have to pay Bailey as much money if they put him on the taxi squad. L.E. gets sent up, as it doesn't matter where he plays they still owe him the larger amount. L.E. up here makes room for Bailley on the taxi squad.

All about the benjamins.

Later today L.E. goes back down and Bailley comes back up.

Hearing Jake sits tonight; Loui takes his place.

I am not saying it is the right or wrong decision to sit him... but if they do, they should just go ahead and pull the trigger to trade him.  It hasn't been a fit for either side since the beginning and it would be better for both to move on.  Jake has had Green as his coach for years, since the minors, and obviously the messaging isn't being heard and the coach doesn't know how to get what he needs out of the player.

There will be teams who are quickly deciding they need to tweak their rosters as well, same as us.  We can either swap projects or get some futures and sign a placeholder like Grabner for cheap.

At some point this saga needs to be done.  Cut the cord or stick it out and leave him in one spot in the lineup to figure it out.  He hasn't shown he smart enough to play on the top line one night and the 3rd line another with entirely different expectations in each role.  It makes him worse at both roles, he is the opposite of a guy like Hansen who was a swiss army knife.

I'm pretty sure he won't turn into a Cam Neely. It seems to me Jake is playing scared. He knows any mistake will bite him. Maybe a fresh start is what he needs. I was hoping he could be groomed by JT Miller to learn and copy his abilities. Think Ottawa would be interested in a Logan Brown/Jake trade?

100% agree.

Problem was that Jake was quiet in the playoffs after having a career season.

GM*s around the league noticed the poor performance in the playoffs for sure.

Jim won*t trade Jake without getting full value for Jake. I mean full value from Jim*s perspective. Don*t know what Jim has in mind, but I recall that Jim mentioned Jake*s skating, frame and physicality.

I suppose other GM*s were not willing to surrender the assets Jim wanted to get for Jake.
