I have a serious question for you serious people: Is it possible to tear up an existing contact to re-sign the player to a higher-dollar (fairer) contract?

Oilers are skating circles around us. I'm completely prepared to be a bottom 5 team next season again.. 

How can this happen? We spent up to the cap every year there is no excuse to be a bottom dweller again as a fan you shouldn't accept it sorry..no other team spends to the cap and does this bad

There is no way the fastest player in the NHL is also a gifted passer and scorer.. you shouldn't be able to stack attributes on a singler player like that
