Bailey, 26, played in three games with the Canucks during the 2020.21 season before suffering a season-ending injury on February 11 vs Calgary. In 2019.20, Bailey split his first season in the organization between Utica and Vancouver, recording 47 points (28-19-47) in 53 games for the Comets and appearing in two games for the Canucks. The 6'4", 214-pound forward has appeared in 68 career NHL games with Buffalo, Philadelphia, and Vancouver, accumulating nine points (5-4-9) and 12 penalty minutes. A native of Buffalo, New York, Bailey was originally selected in the second round, 52nd overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. https://www.nhl.com/canucks/news/canucks-re-sign-justin-bailey/c-325528102 3 2 7

Popular Post Devron
Nice. I think he would have outplayed scrubs some of those guys we had at the end of the year If not for his injury 1 1 3

EternalCanuckFan
I'm glad to see Bailey brought back. Perfect depth RW. He showed well in that role prior to his injury so there's reasonable confidence that he can play on the 4th line if needed, but he also shown a scoring touch that adds some versatility if absolutely needed. He's also a really great skater. 1
Coconuts
Fantastic signing, he's good depth and a good way to start out Abbotsford's top six. Could be something at the NHL level, but if not, he'll benefit our prospects. Size, speed, skill, works hard, can't ask for much more from a depth guy. Playing in Abbotsford at the AHL level probably appealed to him. Edited July 28, 2021 by Coconuts 2
Quantum
Always liked Bailey. Good depth signing. Hope he bounces back nicely from his injury! Good bet for a guy who could be a quick call up in a pinch.
Kobayashi Maru
Nice to get him back. Really had a good stint in the NHL last year before injury. Likely starts in Abby but would be a great call-up.
Beary Sweet
More depth at our forward position. Abby gets a good player that our kids can look up to. He could compete for a 4th line spot in the big club also. Good to see him around still

bigbadcanucks
I'm a big fan of players who are 6'4" 215 lbs. who can fly on the ice and are on one-year/two-way deals. Very happy that the Canucks re-signed Justin Bailey...hopefully he's fully recovered from his knee (?) injury. Not part of his make-up, but if Bailey was a little bit truculent, he would be a shoe-in for the fourth line RW.
aGENT
Good! He was finally starting to look comfortable at this level and then had that unfortunate injury. Has all the tools, let's see if he can continue to build on that as a solid recall option. Always liked the kid. 2

Petey Castiglione
Having him and McEwen fighting for forth line spots is awesome. Canucks have some good depth heading into next season.
