Edler is better than both.

And Ohlly is my fav Dman of all time.

Not!

Heck, Bieksa was better.

Edler was good the 1st 10 years - he was more of a liability the past 5 imho.

Do you think Edler will be honoured with the ring of honour?

Personally I would guess that he has forfeited this honour by not ending his career in a canucks jersey.

Chasing the big money instead of ending his career as a canuck.

Lots of players in the Ring of Honour that did not end thier careers in Vancouver.

Enjoy Doughty

Lol, Doughty, Edler and Mike Richards; Can cruise in a convertible Caddy to Vegas for weekenders.  :towel:

Should fit in fine with that culture?

On a more serious note; maybe he wanted a US Visa?  LA is improving. But its not like they are a contender. He coulda signed cheap with Colorado or Tampa.  Maybe its just money? I dont get it, aside from being S California.

Don't see why he wouldn't be? Spending a year in LA doesn't erase all he contributed to the Canucks or his community contributions.

If we've got Bure's jersey retired with his having played for Florida and New York we can sure as hell put Edler in the ring of honour.

Also, the Canucks had a part to play in moving on as well.

Unless he decapitate EP, he's a stick on for the ROH....

Maybe left because he didn't want to ruin his legacy here...

Even if he'd stuck around, I strongly doubt that'd have ruined his legacy

Probably not, but if he had fallen over a cliff edge like Sedins did here he may have been remembered for that... We, as a fan base are often like 'what have you done for me lately"...

I'm glad tbh that my memories of Edler will be that of a monster... Will miss him.

Maybe, but it's hard to say, I think most would simply chalk it up to age and remember him for the player, teammate, and Canuck that he was

Will def miss him, don't blame him for carrying on if he wasn't prepared to retire, one only gets so many years of playing pro sports

I'm really going to miss Edler.

Probably my favorite moment in his career.....

When he signed with the Kings, the first thing I thought of was this hit.
Congratulations Edler. Hope you get your 100th goal playing for this club.
