Does this mean we're not trading Miller anymore? Bad attitude and all? Seriously wonder how these players can sit through a post game interview. Some idiot asks

Petey whether the PP can 'manufacture' enthusiasm. I mean they had a good night so if they can manufacture more of that enthusiasm it should mean more wins. Right?

Podz is really starting to take off. Green puts Garland with him and wow! That line was generating chances almost every shift. Physically Podz isn't backing down from anyone. I would tune into games just to watch that line. The Garland no look pass was a thing of beauty. Hogs another solid game.

Bailey got benched after he blew his check but I still think he can carve a spot for himself. Has speed and size. Just has to acclimatize to the NHL game. That said last night didn't help and he is faced with injured players like Motte returning. More and more I don't see a top 6 role for Pearson.

His window is getting smaller and smaller. I believe Motte coming back, and Highmore will take his spot. He really looks lost on the ice especially the penalty kill. On the first Stars goal he was out of position and in stead of staying where he was, both Miller and him went to Suter. Great speed, but a huge project nonetheless. IF Lockwood stays healthy in Abby, I see him up with the Canucks by Christmas, too.

Was at the game last night and the arena was just electric. Reffing was terrible, first penalty on us was a joke and one of the two OEL got in that 2 call crap was even more of a joke. Glad they persevered through the bad reffing. The PP looks good now let’s work on the PK. Once that is improved, this team will be formidable.

If that's the case...well we'd be for sure in the playoffs, and for sure win some rounds too.   That's better then Miller, Garland and Boeser ... for our sake i sure hope so.    Have said this several times and will again, IF Podz ends up as the best of the bunch we will be going places.

Not expecting that ... i'd be stoked if he's a swiss army knife type that makes any line better, hits, plays on both special teams and plays solid defense.   He's got that all around package deal going for him so far anyways.    A clutch guy.   We need those.   Every team needs those.   Guys got spunk that's for sure.   Also like how he was developed.   We've waited two years for him... so far so good.  Stoked we had the patience unlike other teams who passed on him.   Also hope in a re-draft, he's 3 where most experts had him going into the draft.

Maybe i jumped the gun a bit. I like Miller, despite his laziness at times. I want to see him stick around as hes a key piece for the franchise. But I think as the season progresses we are going to see Podz and Hoglander start to take over.

His average ice time this year is just over 9 mins was what i was referring too.  With his other stats.

Yes I know what you meant

wqs just pointing out it seems like he’s going to be getting more ice moving forward

Dickinson was terrible. It really appeared that he had a lot of difficulty facing his former team, like he was sad about having to play against his friends. He made a lot of bad mistakes, but hey, they won a game, so it's tough to criticize too much. I actually like Chiasson more, weird.

Podkolzin is a big boy, but he still took a bit of a beating. So, who's going to come to Pod's rescue?  No one?  Okay then. Some forget he's practically still a boy. Good to see him okay and score that goal. Going to be a real good player.

Looks like some of the Canucks players could be slowly getting their groove back, just need a new coach and they'll be on their way.

I listened to the 3rd in bed on the radio.

Didn't sleep though, too exciting.

Miller is the best!

its going to be a summer of tough decisions, but I now think we can keep Miller with all the other moves made. Big issue is Brocks deal, which I hope they are working on now, that's going to eat most of the cap space. But after that we're filling holes with ELCs like Lockwood, and maybe Woo.

Gotta love when the powerplay actually moves instead of just standing in their zone playing pass for 60 seconds before turning it over. Podkolzin is a stud. Just needs to be said.

that was pretty much the difference, rotating players through on Petey's side. Even Petey wasn't in his usual spot for his goal.

Dickenson has been terrible so far. What does he bring to the table, because right now I see nothing.? He's supposed to be a defensive specialist but he's so slow, floats on the pk, does forecheck with any intensity, doesn't backcheck, and really just doesn't appear to add any value to the team right now.

Yeah, of all the significant new players we've brought in, he's been the most disappointing thus far. OEL and Garland have been a godsend, Poolman does look a little out of his depth at times, but considering how good his partner has been thus far he must be doing something right, and Podkolzin has looked great when he's actually gotten some ice time. Dickinson just doesn't seem to bring much to the table though.

I've got no issues with JD.  I wish he were stronger on the draw, but other than that, I like his game

Kind of funny to see Miller step into Petey's slot on the right side and score. "Hey Petey, I'll show you how it's done".

they keep doing this and the PP will be just fine. If Petey can pick his favourite corner from 40 feet out in more than his usual perch like he did last night things are going to heat up.

I think this is actually a pretty big deal and it's one area where the loss of Sutter and Beagle really shows....

Right now, it's Bo and Miller and then everyone else as far as faceoffs go and I think it's no small part in the struggles of the PK so far this year....

Petey finally scored because he tried something different. Rather than that predictable, long, slow windup for his slapper from the right slot, he shot a nice wrister from the middle. He had a good game, a lot of guys did.
