Hard to say, but I know it'll be revived by someone when Kane inevitably scores his first goal of the season

Issues aside, his style is exactly what the Canucks need in their lineup.

 

I'd consider a boea deal if they included a 1st and maybe a mid level prospect

Kane contract . 7 mil for 3 more years after this one.

I would send Boeser in a deal for Kane. However,  I would want a prospect and their 2022 and 2023 first round picks picks.

If we can get Kane @50% off for a minimal asset, we'd be nuts not to.  

 

He is a good enough player to take that chance.  I know the Hurricanes are probably OK with how their reclamation project in ADA has turned out.

I'd be fine with the Canucks trading for Kane. If Evander has any self-awareness, he must know that his career is teetering on the brink. He'd be wise to take stock of that and right the ship.

Hurricanes have a strong dressing room and one of the best coaches in the game.  We already have issues in the room and have a coach who isn't good enough for the AHL.

Every team with 6 wins in 22 games has some level of tension in the locker room.  Green will be gone by next week.

So you understand why adding a locker room cancer might add to that tension then.  Kane's teams don't historically win.

Initially I was 100% opposed to Kane coming to Van (and I said so). However Kane @50% retained is a much different prospect. There could be enough here to offset the BS this guy may bring.
