Don’t see any hope of another big deal for him though as his defensive warts outweigh his offensive output now.
-AJ-
He'll get a contract for sure for much less. He's still a solid NHL player. More likely for a team looking for Corey Perry, but on defense.
RWJC
Perhaps a deadline deal candidate but which contenders could take on that salary? Edited March 7, 2022 by RWJC

Popular Post VegasCanuck
Not saying that we should go after him, but he is an RD where we are weak. Could you imagine him and Hughes running point on our #1 Power Play, allowing us to spread more forwards over to a second unit? 3
J-P
We should trade Myers for him (and let PK walk after the season) and let Hamonic play with OEL + gain 6 mil in cap for next season! (Not sure how we'll replace Myers though...)

Subban will help them for sure, but imho to make the deal worthwhile they have to stock up even more
Nuxfanabroad
Seems a high-maintenance personality. Guess it'll be something similar to Poolman's current numbers, or Hamonic's, if the shorter option is called for.

rawkdrummer
I love PK, great personality! I do hope he can find a good home though. If not you know he'll be on HNIC Edited March 7, 2022 by rawkdrummer 1
kanucks25
If we get rid of Poolman somehow, Subban might be a good low-risk signing to play 3RD. No more than a 1 year deal, though. Edited March 7, 2022 by kanucks25 1
Coconuts
Wouldn't be shocked if he has plenty of suiters, he's a perfectly fine player to have a contract that doesn't pay him 9M.
MeanSeanBean
I'd give him Poolman or Hammer money for 1 year if we can trade both Poolman and Hammer. He would be a great option to try to feed him points and sell high at the deadline. Edited March 7, 2022 by Shayster007

He clashed with a high maintenance GM back in Montreal. 1

Goal:thecup
No to PK. Showboat giveaway monster who needs money. Juulsen and Rathbone ahead of him already on my depth chart. 1

Nucker 67
Too old for what the Canucks want to do. He'll go to EDM or TOR, and will not win a Cup.
bigbadcanucks
Could see Vegas being a good landing spot for Subban, but not sure how Vegas would make it work with their cap. But no to Subban coming to Vancouver, please. Is too much of a "look at me" type of player for my liking. Liked him for a short while when he was bouncing Marchand around, but have disliked him since he stepped in and stole all of Jordan's thunder on Jordan's draft day, and had to make himself be the show. As Canucks fans, we had to watch the mouthpiece steal whatever bit of draft day glory that should have been reserved entirely for Jordan. As well, he had to make himself the star when he donated part of his big signing to the Children's Hospital in Montreal...he couldn't do it in the quiet, classy way like the Sedins tried. At least he was able to back up his big mouth when he was a Hab and a Pred, but not so much anymore. Edited March 7, 2022 by bigbadcanucks
