Insee a future D-Petey/Willander pair.

Heck we might even see it at the WJC

I think they might put him with ASP like before but we will see.

hey Maybe.

But

Hughes-Willander

D-Petey-Hronek

Could be better balanced in age/experience and stylistic fits.

But your pairings would balance the high end skating.

Fun to project.

I was kidding. They have a powerhouse. Tanking pays off eventually

They were tanking aimlessly was the problem. Two 1st overall Ds later and some good trades they are rounding out their roster.

Just need a G and bottom 6.

look at where Seider was ‘ranked’ and selected.

I see a lot of upside in TW. The fact hes leaving SWE to play in the NCAA is a superb move for his development.

What’s your point? That he could be good? I’m not contesting that.

Canucks didn't pick the BPA. They picked of player they feel has the biggest upside potential

You want to win the Stanley cup? You swing for the fences in the first round. You either get completely slammed and miss out, or you hit a home run.

It's the right move. Screams Tomas Gradin Screming "take this guy"!!!!

He is stuck in college so the Canucks can't ruin him.

Perfect.

Most importantly they did not trade away the pick for a guy that MIGHT, MIGHT, actually be a good player on a cost controlled conract, for many years, in the future.

It's what hope is built from.
