Because he gets penalized every hit - his elbows are above every other player's head so it is an easy call for a ref

I agree that his size does give him a disadvantage, but he needs to keep the opposition "honest" and if he has to be penalized for it? so be it.

Maybe not every game, but when players are flying around in our zone, unimpeded, why not slow them down a bit? ::D

I don't think it's random.   I think it's an indictment by Bruce for Hogz not putting his head down and hustling back on that OT goal (as Bo did)

If that's the case idk what to say... he was NEVER going to catch up & he hustles all game long.

But if Martin makes a save and theres a rebound, whos the next closest guy? Hoglander who stopped skating? Or do they get their own rebound? Its not always about getting back to break up the play, its about getting back incase there is a chance to get control. If they score, well there isnt much he can do about that, but if theres a save, we NEED that rebound cleared or skated away. If they get another chance, thats on the last guy back.

Travis Green never benched anyone when there were many, MANY times he should have, and fans whined.

Now we have a coach who's not afraid to scratch players, shake things up, hold them accountable, and fans still whine.

We've blown leads in four consecutive games. Do whatever it takes to turn this around.

Good on Bruce!

Canucks fans will literally whine and have an issue with anything a coach or manager does.

If he scratched Miller people would whine about scratching an 8 million dollar top line player. It’s 4 games, he’s gonna turn it around. Hoglander made the most sense because he’s small and not at all physical against a big Minnesota team.

Sidney Crosby says hi...

imo Crosby is the 3rd best player in the history of the game. Stevie Y is top 10 somewhere, however it is well known now, one of his knees was around 50% for half his career. Only the people closest to him were aware, cause that is what true leaders do.

Oh and 3-2 nucks in a OT. Big game for Brock's first coming home game since pops passed away.

Get the first Win.  Doesn't matter how.

Thats exactly what they need to learn. This is an important lesson, finding a way, any f***ing way to win a game. These are the kind of lessons that pay off in playoffs. If they want to win a cup some day, they are going to have to find many different ways to win games and do whatever it takes to get a goal or protect a lead. Its a young team that is still learning how to win.
