DJSkingz
Damn. This one hurts. He was my dad's favorite player (My dad passed in '98). RIP Mr. Salming.

Rick Blight
I hated the Leafs but always admired Salming. He was always abused by opposing teams and sometimes took a beating but he was as tough as nails and never backed away from the physical play of the time. He was one of the all time greats. Rest in peace Borje.

Nucker 67
They cut it close with Borje Salming's ceremony, but I'm so glad he was able to attend while he was alive and feel the love and admiration. Sad day in hockey. RIP Borje. 1

Mustard Tiger
RIP I'm glad he got to experience a proper farewell. Such a heart felt moment for everyone. Crazy and sad to see how you can have the strength and ability to he walking around enjoying a moment like that to the best of his ability and shortly after it all comes to a end. Right in the feels again..
Gurn
I'm going to guess that Borje chose his time to go. Hell of a hockey player. An all time great, and a trail blazer. Condolences to his family, friends and fans.

Nuxfanabroad
Yrs back a co worker had a cousin who played for the Leafs. Apparently the man was a legend with a passion/zest for life, both on & off the ice. RIP Borje Salming. Truly was an NHL trailblazer.
Fanuck
So sad to hear - I just watched him drop the puck at the Leafs game on HNIC a couple weeks back. Watched him his entire career - never was and never will be a Leafs fan but he was a talented player there's not doubt about it.
ForzaTikare
A sad day here in Sweden, Börje is for Swedish hockey what Gretzky is for Canadian hockey.. Will never be anyone who can reach the Legendary status that he had. Rest in Peace #21 2
McBackup
He played before my time, but from everything I've heard he was an absolute trailblazer in the game and really made massive strides towards removing the stigma from European players.
