At 26 yrs old?  The guy gets slower each year and was slow to start with.  Boeser is one of the biggest reasons we fail every single year.

Boeser is not the reason we fail every single year lol. He needs to be better no doubt

You and ktcy are the 2 biggest Boeser Karen's here. or do would you prefer Debbie Downers?

It’s an underperforming contract,  that is supposed to squarely offer more goals.

… he dosent have a physical or back checking game to support that worth.

He’ll be given every opportunity ( which he already is) to elevate his stats and then be traded.   .. pumped and dumped at the draft.

When you have players like boeser in your top 6 you are going to fail every year.   Unfortunately now every gm in the league has caught on that hes at best an overpaid 3rd liner.

Has he played top 6 minutes much this year?  One thing I’ll argue on for the style Boeser plays he needs to produce like an Ovi but unfortunately he’s more of a Jordan Eberle.  He is the kind of player that could be a fit in Arizona or Chicago as they work their way to the cap floor

It could change,  he could turn the cblock back and be better,  but with the changes they are making, I don’t think he is as aggressive physically,  which seems to be the future culture change management is trying to retool to.

Even Allvin said today that if Brock wants to be traded, then he needs to play better. I like that Allvin refuses to give in to a player. Brock needs to shed 20 pounds and get fit.

Management did the right thing here.  Boeser's value can't get much lower.  Just ride this out.  He will either get better and increase his value, and/or the term remaining on his contract will get shorter which will increase his value.  Now was not the time to trade him.

Myers needs to go this summer.  Same with Pearson.

There are teams that want average players with high cap hits though.

Just gotta find those teams and hope they don’t want too big of sweetener.

But typically low salaries to go with that high cap hit - allows them to save on salary to reach the floor.  Boeser's deal is flat - same salary/same cap hit.

True but if it’s a wealthy team like Chicago it might not matter as much.

Nobody wanted Boeser at 6.65M let alone 5.65M, shocker.

Brock's gotta get his game going again. He's got such low value, we'd probably have to attach a pick to get another team to take him.

Yup. Guys that are that weak defensively are going to get you burned every time. Add Miller, and Kuzmenko/Garland ... you're dead in the water before the puck even drops.

Kuzs 2 way game has looked a lot better since tocchet came in.

You need your top players to play a solid 2 way game and not be passengers like boeser if you want to win anything in this league.

Boeser is 26, and has been in this league 7 years. If he hasnt learned by now he is a lost cause

Kuz has been better but still not good enough. As you say your top 6 needs to be solid at 2 way play. You can hide one, maybe even two defensively suspect players but not 3 or 4. That's just a recipe for disaster ... or the 23/24 Canucks.

wonder if not getting moved will impact him. My instinct tells me he was probably hoping for a move....

He should commit to improving his game over the summer,

If he wants options of teams (or ours) interested in him, then he better put the work in

He hasn't worked to improve any area of his game since being in the NHL

BB should be the best he will be by this age, because he worked hard on improving weaker areas (and he hasn't)

I think he is what he is, gets a great pay cheque (without getting beat up and keep his teeth without scars )
