[Poll] With Horvat gone, who should be named the Canucks next captain?

JT Miller gets paid the most so let him show us how he can do the captain thing. Once Horvat is gone he should be captain. I think management knows that too.

I think the team avoids the Captaincy for maybe a couple of years. I have a feeling about Hughes. I just think he is about to step up and be someone the team follows and he matures into someone who speaks up and takes accountability.

None of them lmao. Petey maybe, but he doesn’t strike me as a vocal guy. If he’s captain, it’s based on his performance and hard work though. Can’t deny that.

Do all captains need to be vocal? 

Hank and Danny weren't super vocal guys either but they lead by example. 

 

Markus Naslund wasn't a vocal guy but he was our captain. 

heck, Bo isn't even really that vocal either.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic, but I agree about that (if Schenn gets moved).  With the added letter, maybe whatever helped him succeed last season can come back.
If we don't trade Schenn for some reason, I'd go with him, with Petey as an "A" and probably OEL with the other (I don't really want Miller to wear one after his attitude and lack of effort this year).

I was being sarcastic  I do like the idea of signing Schenn in the summer and make him captain for a couple years
