ilduce39 Posted July 10, 2023 Share Posted July 10, 2023 (edited) Looking at DeBrincat getting a return vs Garland not being able to move shows why I’m happy we passed on Benson. If a little guy isn’t a bonafide top line star, they’re seen as chopped liver even if they’re all around productive and effective. Not saying Garland doesn’t have value on the ice - but in trade it’s really muted. Even DeBrincat could likely only return a late 1st next year if Boston does okay. Tryamkin was mid the time he was here and was only here one season, and we still talk about him as if he was the best defender our franchise ever had. The allure of size is strong.
