To try to support the existing community and provide a place where everyone can continue, or simply come together, I've booted up a new forum at https://www.forumcanucks.com/ (soon to likely be https://www.canucksfanforum.com). The structure mostly follows what is here to make moving over simple and easy, but of course it is open to suggestion and change. I'll keep it going as long as possible.

I suspect its that the Canucks don't want to pay the server costs for something that ultimately doesn't bring in any revenue, or there has been a massive restructuring of the NHL website's infrastructure and they don't see any value in continuing to host a forum for a single team.

 

We were as far as I was aware the only officially team hosted message board in the NHL for quite some time now.

 

Anyways, after well over a decade and thousands and thousands of posts here, I suppose there was always a point where it would end.

 

Thanks for the ride y'all. I'm sorry I won't get to see this place rupture when the Canucks actually win the cup. I hope my obnoxious, low effort comments brought a smile to your face once or twice. If I offended you with them or we ever had hostility, I hope its all water under the bridge.

 

I hope to see you celebrating somewhere when the Canucks finally lift Lord Stanley's Mug.

Been here since 2010, made my account in the offseason prior to the 40th season (after months of lingering), that was when I was 14.

 

This forum has been apart of my whole adult Canuck watching life. Chatting with everyone has made watching the games so much more enjoyable, especially during these lean years.

 

Thanks to everyone, even those I've butted heads with, no ill-will on my part. Really disappointing news .

Been here since the mid 2000's, I used to go to Canucks.com and scroll down to read the recent topics. I did this and lurked for a couple years before actually joining, it's been a long time. 

 

I'll be sad to see this place go, I don't know any of you personally and yet I've established some really fun relationships here over the years. I'd by lying if I said CDC shutting down won't put a damper on my hockey fandom, it's a big part of why I've enjoyed and been invested in the sport, and the team.

This news is sad but not a total shocker. I joined this forum over 20

years ago as a kid from Vancouver Island  who had just gotten to see his very first live Canucks game and now I’m getting ready to work my tenth season with the team. Wild!
 

Well if #FreeTheSkate worked maybe we need to start #FreeCDC and keep it rolling on the Canucks socials for the year.
