I don't know who I am going to talk to about the team anymore, I don't really know any Canucks fans. I used to know a guy from high school who used to be a huge Canucks fan but we aren't really in touch anymore. This sucks as I have been more excited about this season than I have been in years and I am not someone who says that every year. 

 

Been on this forum for nearly half of my life. I remember at one point due to my mental health I had cut ties with everyone in my person life so CDC was the only avenue to express myself socially. I am in a much better place now but some of the connections I built here have really come to mean a lot to me. I am going to truly miss this place.

Wow, been a poster for like 16 years so sad to see CDC finally shut down. Living in Australia it's always been my main source for hockey news so thank-you to everyone who kept the boards alive and entertaining. No doubt lots of users will jump ship to Canucks Corner or HF Boards but CDC will always be the best.

How big is this forum compared to other NhL teams? and compared to other North American teams? I vaguely recall reading in an article it was the biggest in the NHL that was part of the main teams website.

Biggest by quite a large margin. I suspect the Canucks reddit has since surpassed it in terms of general community sizes though. Don't think it could hold a candle to our community quality though.
