Calling a last minute Hillary comeback, hopefully I'm right.
Anyways goodnight everyone

Everyones freaking out because we suck and can't score a goal, isn't that what everyone predicted though? honestly it's not like we were going to go 82-0-0.
Not sure if you have noticed or not but this team isn't playoff calibre, I didn't expect people to be so surprised when lose.
WE ARE NOT A GOOD TEAM

The Canucks will finish the year with less than 90 points and miss the playoffs unless they make drastic changes. It's still early.
But I make that statement with 90% confidence.
Usually you don't know what you have in a team really until after American Thanksgiving. Then you can start to make moves if the bad play and boring low scoring hockey and losses continue.
The Canucks are not a good team they don't deserve to be in the playoffs and won't get in because of their great play. There is nothing to get mad about this team is old and dead and doesn't have top end young talent ready to replace major roster holes right now.
You have to pay the price for trading away all those picks and making poor decisions on personnel and handing out no trades like candy to every veteran player but it was in the past because the Canucks were actually trying to do something in the playoffs instead of just settling for getting there.

Haha you guys have to see this, he was just 21 no playing pro yet so who cares I guess

@Mr.DirtyDangles That works, especially if he runs into the arms of a better (better for him) woman.

@Jimmy McGill I have a %100 perfect example of something that doesn't wash off, but I might get banned for posting it. It would be a fine wallpaper for the Mr. President thread though.

I just saw the video on liveleak, makes you rethink how you wake up everyday thinking everything is going to be perfect...
RIP To the young lady involved
Condolences to her family
The world can be a scary place sometimes...

lets say the hall-larsson trade hasn't happened yet.
Chiarelli calls jim and says "hey I'm looking on moving halls for a good young defenseman that can keep the puck out of the net, who ya got?"
jim-" well ill give ya Tanev for him straight up"
chiarelli-"give me tanned, olsen and next years second and you've got a done deal."
if you're Jim, what ya say?

@Trebreh If we're allergic to size and toughness, why did we draft Demko, Tryamkin, Virtanen, Pettit, Stewart, and trade for Pedan in the first place?

Sutter was right when he said that Goldy needs to find the balls to get in the dirty areas.
people who are saying that Sutter has no right to say something like that are really oblivious to the fact that in this case Goldy is only starting his NHL career whereas Sutter has played 9? Seasons and has seen enough players come through the loop to know what you need to do in order to find success in the league.

That's a good question Vinny. What we don't know is how many times 1 or more people said the same or similar things to, or if they had any effect on, Goldobin prior to Sutter's public comments. Whether Sutter is the epitome of a battling forward is irrelevant. He's at the end of his 9th year in the league so he obviously knows a thing or 2 about what it takes to STAY in this league.
The media, with absolutely nothing better to do with themselves, take the opportunity to put a negative spin on several cherry picked situations and slap out a "story".
That article was peppered with so much bias I couldn't even finish it. Waste of a read.

One thing I find, and I suppose it's human nature, is that when the team's doing well, the articles all tend to be positive and is all about how good the team's character is and great plays that are made. When the team's doing terrible, every sports writer all of a sudden becomes a President/GM/Coach as every little thing gets magnified. But imho, the players need to know this as well - I don't know, if I were a player and the team's not doing well, I'll be extra cautious about what I mention to the media as they'll be out for blood.

Tortorella to Botchford today,
"I'm not answering any of your questions. I just don't like you."
You tell 'em torts!!!
