      I probably have like 50+ Slurpees a year cause I’m a sugar lick.

       

      I feel like in 2027 I will have my first non Coke/Pepsi slurpee.

      I would take him at the right price bc like it or not our defense needs more depth and size - Myers adds both. That being said he isn't worth 7M. The highest I would go would be 6-6.25Mx5. At the end of the day he is still a 6'8 30-35pt defenseman.

      Edler has spent his entire career with the Canucks.  He wants to be here.  He’s loyal to the club in that he signed on a two year deal without any trade protection even though he had a lot of power in the contract negotiations (eg., Canucks D depth).  He left money on the table.

       

      Myers can be had for free (in a sense we don’t have to trade for him) but at cost in terms of both money, contract length (and most probably trade protection which might have expansion draft consequences).  His loyalty can be bought.

       

      Sure it would be ideal to have both but I know which player I’d rather have.

      The Canucks fired their DJ this season.  Aquaman selected the playlists? Or maybe his kids did. Either way, this team can't even figure out decent tunes to play let alone any gimmicks...which I'd be against. Just play great tunes and have some good looking cheerleaders who also scrape the ice and I'm good.

      @MJDDawg Could care less about DJ tunes tbh. Always going to be an issue with that, the younger generation is into a whole new style of music these days (aka trap).

       

      Cheerleaders we need though.

    NHL refs in the Vegas game need to be fired. Never have I seen a game finessed this badly. Vegas got robbed big big time.

      I just see Ferland as a middle six tweener who's likely to have various teams willing to overpay him with term and cap hit. I get why people would like him because of his age and style of play but I'm not sure he'd live up to what he'd likely be paid to come here. If we get him I'll root for him but I figure he'll stay out east. Hell, I'll be surprised if Carolina doesn't retain him. 

       

      You're right about Panarin costing a lot. I think he'll stay out east though tbh and I don't think we're at the place where we should be throwing out that cap and term just yet.

      Ferland plays a solid west conf style, so I disagree with you there. No biggie really. I doubt we get either of them

      I remember mentioning when Buffalo was going to trade him that we should trade Virtanen in a package for him.

       

      Virtanen’s trajectory was already showing he wouldn’t become to anything special and advanced would ideally be the player we had hoped in Jake. Would’ve worked perfectly because the Sabres were looking for youth in return. But a lot of Virtanen homers thought he’d become better than him :picard:

      True. Not trying to compare the teams, just reminds me of the situation in 2012. #1 team loses to an underrated team that barely makes the Playoffs.

      That would replicate what happened in 2012.

    Hot Take: We should acquire 18 year old Sam Bennett.

     

    He has accepted his role as a 4th liner bust, and does a good job on the 4th line. Throws hits, makes his presence felt and can get under other teams skin.

      Id trade for him. Wouldn't give up to much, but with a larger opportunity he may succeed.

       

      Calgary will need to make some moves this offseason as they are up against the cap.
