Motte is solid, but what good is he if he's injured half the time?   Also, with Dickinson manning our 4th line, I think our 4th line will be pretty good as is.  Motte is nice to have, but we can survive without him.  Move Motte to clear cap space, or as trade bait for a new RD.

Hamonic (3 million) + Motte (1.225 million) = 4.225 million = can afford 4.1 million of Josh Manson.

Holtbeast. Demko can't play every game, nor should he. You need two guys who can carry the load and contribute, and letting Holtby go cold doesn't help the team. Practice is one thing, but players need reps. 

This team also badly needs to string together two wins. Didn't happen last night. Long-term fatigue can be a secondary concern if anything; the Canucks have no momentum

Perhaps, but if the argument is that we could have won with Demko in net because he won the night before the argument that he could have lost can be made as well. Holtby wasn't as sharp as he needed to be, but neither was the team in front of him. 

Well, he's certainly more experienced than Baumer.. 

Boudreau is the exact opposite kind of coach that Manny is. He wouldn’t be a good fit here.

It kind of has to. If played right, the player acquired (and then the ones they are subsequently traded for in the future) can set this team up for success over the next 15 years.

Everyone hates the Linden trade, but without it there's no Bert and McCabe who then became Lu and the Sedins.

Trading Kesler should do something similar if done correctly.

If he is traded for anything sub-par than what is expected (a centre piece of Nyquist/Maatta/Laughton+Hagg) than he deserves to be run out of town. The decline of this team since 2011 has been rather steep and it's been bad trades and the inability to re-sign Ehrhoff and Torres that caused it (besides age)

Seems like a winner. Not something we'd see before the deadline though. Schroeder could still pan out this season.

you don't get to be an nhl coach if you only have half a brain...if you could, we'ld all be up there coaching..he made decisions, right or wrong..we don't know what was behind that move...it is easy from our seats in front of the tv to make decisions....try it from the bench...

Joff, I think you're the one not watching Leaf Games. Grabo was getting 36.7% O-Zone starts, not exactly a recipe for success. He played his hardest every night and deserved 100% to be kept over Bozak.
