Warhippy
Aaah so this is from last year.... Just assumed MacLean meant trade-freeze and misspoke with "lockout" as he's kind of a moron. That's how I interpreted it as well. Olympic trade freeze
Tangelos
Luongo's career will be done by the time Calgary finishes their rebuild. Not sure what he's thinking
messier's_elbow
Lu to Calgary? That makes zero sense, why would Maclean say this on the air? Oh yeah he has no credibility anyways (e.i. worst draft record ever)

SheffieldCanuck1889
Jesus people, that rumour is from when Burke was in Toronto, and it's most likely the reason the organization fired him because they didn't like the deal!

theminister
Good times. Enjoyable read. Better than '50 Shades of Grey.' Controversial and yet poignant. Highlights the dystopia of the human psychology. Would read again. 11/10 Nicely done.

Herberts Vasiljevs
I would be looking for a kings ransom for Kesler. He is one of the most trusted forwards in the NHL, as a coach you can put him on the ice no.matter what the situation and have complete trust in him. He is one of the top forwards for ice time for team USA, and the most trusted there. I can see American teams paying a lot to get his services. Simmonds, Couturier, 1st
Noseforthenet
Thanks Old News for that refreshing laugh. And how many people got caught? I still say Kesler being moved before next season is best for the team. With a few top 6 centers available via free agency, why not?! To get that franchise puck mover #1, there isn't much I wouldn't move....
Provost
@TEAM1040 Doug MacLean says he's heard Brian Burke will make an "unbelievable push" for Roberto Luongo once the lockout is over. Good grief... he can push all he wants, there are few places Luongo would want to go to less than staying here. Either a contender, or somewhere in the East where he can be closer to Florida and family.
Phil_314
I hope Mallet and Friesen go in the deals with roster guys to bring back good young guys. The system has too many overagers who probably won't make it, but esp. for guys like Mallet I hope that his relatively high draft position means that at least he has some value in trades. At worst, I'd be willing to use these guys in rental deals (e.g. in trading for Pahlsson with Ellington).
