SilentSam
Such quick feet ,. And strong edges with this big man,. Something for our trainers to utilize and give confidence in Nik to use his power over others with.
Popular Post fanfor42
I think Nik will come back on a 2 year deal at about 1.8m. If he doesn't come back he has to wait another year before he is a UFA. So it is in his best interests to come next year if he wants to restart his NHL career. I have a small percentage dream that he somehow matches up as the perfect stay at home tough D partner for Hughes. Big wing span. Pretty mobile. No expectations for offense just cover to let Quinn fly. Anyway, small chance that pans out but I am attracted to the thought as it would be a game changer for the team. 2 4

VegasCanuck
Is he so high up in blocked shots, because he's good at it, or because he's so big, they can't help but hit him???
clutesi
We won't lose an upcoming draft pick. Our D is mess. He's built like a tree and he can skate. We've got absolutely nothing to lose if we give him a chance. Which means we probably won't give him a chance..... :(

I'm glad we're finally close to the point where this happens or not. Nik is on the expansion exempt list so I'm assuming that means he can be signed at any point after his KHL deal is done. He really seems to have developed into what we need. I love the idea of Juolevi and Nik as our 3rd pair. 1
Popular Post Elias Pettersson
Tryamkin is going to be a beast on the penalty kill. I’d hate to be that forward who gets to stand in front of the net while Tree is on the ice for the penalty kill. That could be a career ending job for most players. 2 3 1

While Tram is primarily a defensive Dman, like any player his value will be affected by how many points he gets. Playing with Huggy would likely be of significant value to Tram when it is time to negotiate his next contract. Can you imagine what would happen to an opposition player who messes with Tram's meal ticket? If he dies, he dies, lol. 2

Perhaps his pairing with a similar style of player in Rathbone is auditioning for an eventual partnership with Huggy Bear

Seems to me the prospects affiliated with the AHL have not been getting much ice because of C19 in North America.. all teams avg 8 games played to this point. This says a lot about development for all NHL prospects in North America.

KingRaj91
I honestly don't think NT is coming back. He's doing well in Russia and things are going well for him, not too sure if he's going to want to leave a comfortable life there to play in Van. Hope i'm wrong though.
