mpt
according to cdc, he is better than Lundqvist because he posted better numbers in the regular season Seems to becoming a trend here unfortunately; no one knows how to watch a player play, they just look at their stats
Monty
No difference between talbot and scrivens, except for their team's defence. Exactly this. Scrivens was terrible in Toronto but great in Los Angeles. Edmonton thinks "Oh, Scrivens is great on Los Angeles, so I'm sure he'll be great here." Think they forgot that LA had great defense and they, well, don't. Talbot will be the same for them. Completely lateral move. They'd be better off going after Neimi in free agency. 24K PureCool
Yes, jack up the price for goaltenders and we will be taking about lucky pick 24 for Lack.
Jiggs50
Lol Lack is the better goalie imo. Let them overpay for Talbot if they want. Typical Oilers...
Grape
If Talbot is worth the 16th, Lack is worth the 16th
McBackup
If I'm New York I take it and run.
Tom Sestito
No, that isn't according to CDC. Lundqvist is the best goaltender in the NHL. Miller is an overpaid goaltender who posted a backup level save percentage. Big difference.
ItsMillerTime
Hahahaha lol. For a backup. Edmonton maybe you wanna draft a goalie? 16th overall pick thats bogus.
-Moose
That is quite the price to pay for a 28 year old goaltender who has played in the shadow of King Henrik his entire career. He has looked great in spurts while Lundqvist has been out, but has yet to show he can do it over the span of a 82-game season. Pretty sure thats how most teams feel about Lack
Gstank29
I would assume it's for a defenceman and Talbot, not just Talbot
DeNiro
Bieksa and Lack for their 16th and their 57th picks.
nergish
If I'm New York I take it and run. That's nearly equal value to what we got for a top 10 NHL goaltender - of course they do. I don't believe this for one second. Draft a goalie at 16 if you're so desperate.
Miltt
Bieksa and Lack for their 16th and their 57th picks. Deal...
CRAZY_4_NAZZY
If I'm New York I take it and run. ^^ this that would be a steal of a trade...a backup for almost a top 15 draft pick...done deal Part of me is evil hoping this happens to drive up the bargaining leverage for Benning
LaBamba
This is complete and utter garbage at its finest. How on earth could someone from the media have this information prior to the Draft? I like to call this educated speculation, or logical speculation. Bernier has taught every team in the NHL that no matter how good you are behind a legacy, you have proven nothing until you are a full time starter. Here is another rumour brewing from what is also most likely educated speculation. Devon Dubnyk is going to sign with the Oilers. Still has close relationships in Edmonton and wants to "right" that ship.
Ryan Strome
Obviously if this was true other pieces would be involved. Can't believe so many would think it's one for one....
smokes
Even if so, it's Kevin Lowe who knows a thing or two about winning! Absolutely, Kevin Lowe knows more about winning the first overall draft pick than any other exec in the NHL
JeremyCuddles
If this is serious NY will be laughing all the way to the bank. Also boosts the value of Lack?
