DrJockitch
Then he is a UFA. What are the chances of him being a Sen at the end of the year?
EB43
That’s a 7 million and see ya later smile.
Gaudette Celly
If he intends on walking away at the end of the year, this is the smartest thing to do as now they have time to try to move him for something.
b3.
Unless the team pulls a 180 I don’t think he sticks.
JM_
I understand why Stone is happy, but what the hell is Dorion grinning about?
-AJ-
We'll see if he stays, but if Stone's actually a point-per-game guy, his offensive play plus his strong defensive game easily makes him worth that kind of money. If he can put up 80+ points, I wouldn't be surprised to see him sign mega deal as a UFA for $8m+ next year.

Fanuck
I know it's not direct apples-to-apples, but BoHo's contract looking really solid right now.
ForsbergTheGreat
The pieces are falling in place. Sens are looking like complete idiots for keeping this years pick. Sens are going to be an absolute tire fire this year and Av are going to be the beneficiary.
SingleThorn
I think Ottawa is forced to 'win now' ! The management team has to avoid losing a top 3 pick to Colorado. Stone and Karlsson have to be part of this year's team. Futures don't help the gm/ owner this year. Next year, different story !
rekker
He is gone after that contract. Same with Duchene. The Sens are screwed.

crunch55
If Stoner gets $7 mill plus ...what will Brock get if he is a point a game guy this year ? The new cap hit is really driving salaries up and they thinking you have more cap space is going out the window because of it.

Provost
I really get the sense that all these guys want out as soon as possible. High salary asks and no term commitments. Avoiding arbitration means he can be traded anytime which both parties could be happy with. When I start to feel bad about our increasing dysfunction and “meh” ownership, I just think about Ottawa and feel better.
coastal.view
so who thinks brady is gonna sign and play for that team this year ? he might be next on the list of players who demand to leave town

I bet he'll be doing this once he realizes he probably gave up Jack Hughes for Brady Tkachuk by giving Colorado their 2019 1st.

Their ownership is so bad their players can't be used as comparables. No one in their right mind will play there voluntarily.
