Beluga Whale
NHL feels bad and wants to give the Devils a redo after they whiffed and picked Hischier over Petey.

This is the same criminal organization that sees fit to permit Kelly Sutherland to openly rig playoff games and put Colin Campbell in a position where there was a clear and obvious conflict of interest. So you are saying that the NHL, the Accounting firm and the 15 teams' official reps who are present at the drawing are complicit? Conspiracy theorist much??

Every team has a rep in the room for the actual lottery, it's not some backroom process.

dKs89
The most depressing thing is somehow we've dropped for 4 straight years. Somehow for 4 straight years a team or teams have had worse odds yet won anyways. Somehow we're 0/12 on lottery picks. Just mind boggling. And just incredibly sad

Tired of getting F'd in the A while all Bettman's darlings get the B's and J's every year. Lottery... What a bunch of Horsesh*t. So what is it you think, exactly is happening, besides luck of the draw?

24K PureCool
I'm just laughing how we manage still to drop all the way at 9th. I swear we can finish bottom 14 and still drop to 15. Can't wait to see that happen next year.
Nucker 67
I am pi**ed. So, the 3rd worst team gets a lotto pick. The 6th worst team gets a pick. You would think it was some sort of pattern of every third team, and that the 9th worst team would also get one. But Nooooooooo. It jumps right to the 12th worst team. Canucks luck. So maddening. And Jack Hughes - if I could read minds, he was thinking VAN. And when NJ won the 1st, it looked like it physically hurt him to crack a smile. And I guess Bettman is happy. I believe he lives in NJ and this lottery also helped out a couple of original 6 teams in the US.
MikeBossy
I was salty when I first saw where we ended up BUT it is what it is - my new version of the draft lottery is everyone who doesnt make the playoffs gets their name in a hat and drawn that way - screw the balls/etc - do it the old fashioned way
