Sounds like Edler has dropped the NMC ask, which means Benning didn't cave. If Benning gives Edler three years without a NMC, this is amazing news for us and JB should be applauded, as the issue for JB and the team has never been about the cost and length but rather being forced to protect him in the ED. I'd imagine they'll compromise and meet in the middle at 3. My guess is Benning will leave them two offers - 2 years HANDSOMELY paid or 3 years at a lower hit. Edler can decide if he wants defacto ED protection and more upfront $ by being UFA in 2 years or the added security of that 3rd year. His choice.
