Boldy seems like a great fit for our group. Size and skill on the wing, the very thing we've needed forever. If he's not there and nobody drops that's too good to pass up, trade back a bit and pick up Soderstrom or Seider. Or package the pick for a need. Not crazy about this draft to be honest.

Looking at CDC consensus for past drafts is frightening, and should show all here, that as vehemently as you may argue who the BPA is? As a collective group we're usually wrong. LOL

Not to brag about myself, but I do have a pretty good track record in past drafts.

2018: Veleno, Hughes, Farabee - too early to tell, but Veleno seem like a decent pick after having a monster season in the Q.

2017: Vilardi, Tippett, Pettersson - obviously Pettersson is the best player out of this bunch, but hey at least I had him in my top 3. Unlike others who berated Benning for this pick.

2016: Dubois, Chychrun, Keller - not a bad top 3. Wanted Chychrun, amongst the three defensemen ranked in the top 5, after PLD went early.

2015: Andersson, Larsson, Beauvillier - I’ll admit Brock wasn’t even on my radar. Although, Andersson seem to be blossoming into a nice top 4 defensemen for Calgary. It would have been a huge stretch for Benning drafting him that early, since he was slated to go in the mid - late second round.

2014: Perlini, Virtanen, Kapanen - I guess you can say this was my worst draft.

So, where do I apply to become an amateur scout for the Canucks?

No idea how anyone could remotely handicap this before seeing who's gone/left after 9 given this year's volatility but of the available options, I voted Krebs/Podkolzen/Seider/Kaliyev DNW.

Here's my top 20:

1 - Hughes

2 - Kakko

3 - Byram

4 - Turcotte

5 - Zegras

6 - Podkolzin

7 - Krebs

8 - Dach

9 - Boldy

10 - Seider

11 - Cozens

12 - York

13 - Soderstrom

14 - Caulfield

15 - Newhook

16 - Heinola

17- Harley

18 - Broberg

19 - Brink

20 - Tomasino

*Originally had Krebs at 5 and only dropped him because the injury to pose some risk.

I think Body is the perfect pick for the Canucks.

American player going to play in college for a good program.

Canucks have had a huge success with these guys.

Gaudette,Hughes,Rathbone,Madden etc.

Will be NHL ready possibly after just 1 college season.

NHL level size and skills already.

No real major holes could work on his skating a bit maybe. Can both finish and create.

Already plays a sound 2 way game.

Ideal winger for EP40 and Boeser.

No brainer pick if he is there imo, really safe and reliable top 6 winger projection.

Most days, I was all over the place...….

But I did not think Podkolzin would be there, so I don't think I considered it

Last I remember, I was

Seider/ Zegras/ Boldy………….wasn't sure which one, as I seen things I wanted with each of them...……….I did not want Broberg or Caufield

Was high on Krebs until he hurt himself

The Russian thing kind of scared me...…………..but after seeing the family at the draft...….........…..I am in love with the pick
