They are saying that New Jersey May be looking at moving on from Subban and that he isn’t going to be easy to move even with them eating some cap. I can imagine if they eat cap or take a bad contract back, they can get something decent for him. I mean if they ate $3 million of his cap and took Eriksson, I think we would throw in a pretty solid sweetener/prospect/pick. Even a reduced Subban as mostly a PP specialist gives you a ton more than a benched Eriksson. theo5789 Posted December 13, 2019 Share Posted December 13, 2019 If they ate 3 million, then straight swap for LE. If they ate 50% (or 4.5 million) and took LE, then we are talking. Subban has really dropped off. He looked to have started "declining" last season and has fallen off now. He may fare better on a new team, but that's not his value today if they want to trade him. He's in the bad contract territory at this point and they look desperate if they want to sell him so soon after acquiring him. I imagine Stecher would also be involved in the return somehow as he would become the "extra" RD should we acquire PK and they would need to replenish their D.
