Does Virtanen's agent use this for contract negotiations?

Jake is a coming RFA; Kass was a coming UFA.

Not really comparable.  Plus, Kass has proven over several seasons he’s figured it out off the ice.  Jake needs to show his current maturity over a bridge contract.

Glad Oilers are paying Kassian. He has grown into a respectable player. His baseball swing that broke Gagner's face was still facepalm though.

Now Oiler fans love him after he was public enemy number one after that. Just goes to show how circular this stuff is.

Kassian brings intangibles Virtanen doesn't. Similar numbers but Kassian hits, fights and is somewhat of an intimidating presence.

Virtanen isn't a fighter and doesn't use his size nearly enough from a physical standpoint.

Virtanen still has more potential from an offensive point of course, but time will tell.

Is there an ex Canuck on a rival team loved more than Kass?  Even I cheer for him.  He’s a beauty.

Congrats to Kass. Very few players who is as open as Kass is. Great team player and a player who can pull off a great play when needed. Wears his heart on his sleeve. I will never forget his stretch with the Twins when everything was working for him. A sight to see.

While he was with the Canucks after the Tee off on Gagner's face and the ending of Eager's career with a punch, he had the entire Oiler's team intimidated every time we played them.

No wonder they wanted him.

Happy for him, He was one of my favorite players when he played in Van.
