"Good game... really good game. Probably our best game in the last 6 or 7 games... Did a lot of good things. Gave up 11 scoring chances in regulation, had 18. Didn't have any puck luck. Very tenacious group tonight. Unfortunate we didn't get two points tonight but definitely a step in the right direction. We want all our guys to work. Win races, win puck battles. You watch the best players... that's the norm. I think Petey gets that. He works, he skates, he does whatever he can to help us win." - Green

It's not happening. No GM in the league is stupid enough to take him on unless we attach a 1st rd pick and possibly more. Best thing to do is either sit him and hope he decides to retire and play him on the 4th line in defensive situations and on the PK, as his defensive game is just about the only thing about him that isn't absolutely atrocious.

A team completely out of the playoffs would do it, but like you said, we need to attach an asset.

I agree though, it's not worth it.

We're better off sitting him and pray he retires lol.

Zack MacEwan sits over guys like Eriksson, Rousell and Virtanen. All 3 of those players have been useless lately and can barely throw a hit. And you got a hungry motivated big body MacEwan that lays it on thick but he cant crack the lineup. Great message coach u f'n clown.

I completely agree. That is coaching. He was their best player last game and what does it say to bench him. It makes no sense. Erickson sucks. He does nothing.

"Nice to have him back. Gritty player that does a lot of little things that doesn't show up o the score sheet. Thought he was pretty sharp for being out for three weeks." - Green on Motte

Well sign him for 6 mil because he does the “little things”

Wild will roll over for the Oilers and the Bruins will destroy us like they always do

these were bad points to give up the last 2 games

Even crappy teams, that have no hope left this year, get excited to play us because they know it will be an easy game and the can pad their stats.  We are coached to be passive and chase.  It’s far too easy fir the opponents to move around the ice.  We stick check instead of getting into the body.  Green has a good roster now, and we should be doing a lot better.

Green thinks it’s the best effort in a while but they look terrible defensively so I guess the whole game doesn’t matter. Their play in their own end. It’s ok to let players skate circles around you. He just praises and praises.

That's a really bad sign. Does he not give a $&!# about the defensive collapses or does he not even realize that the D has been playing awful and bleeding high-risk chances for a long time now?

I agree with Green.

This loss isn't as bad as people are making it out to be.

If that puck didn't bounce in and we just so happened to win tonight, the tone would be very different.

We're going to turn it around guys, have faith. We lost but we got a point, that's the positive.
