After 2 doses and a booster, I contracted the virus.

It sucks. I have had a lot of fatigue.

I’m relatively ok because I got the vaccinations.

I’m posting because I want you to know that I didn’t have to clog up the hospital’s’ emergency room or take a hospital bed away from someone that needed it or that’s waiting for surgery.

Get vaccinated. Get your booster. It will save your life and it will save the healthcare system that we all pay into.

This is our duty as members of society. Society means people who live together who are responsible for one another, whether that’s economically, group safety, care and healthcare. There’s a lot more things that makes us be a safe and sound society that I haven’t mentioned, but the point is that personal responsibility leads into social responsibility.

Wishing you and your loved ones safety and security.

Edit- Don’t Huggy bear me. I appreciate the empathy but I’ll be fine. I’m going to be fine because I got the vaccinations. I’m still the regular Sharp that you all know and many despise or love. I’m still going to be the vehement and borderline banned poster as always.

Ditto.......my experience for the last 5 days has mostly been throat, ears and head and mostly modetate.  I've definitely been more sick, but boy is it consistent.......with flu you have periods where you're down and periods where you feel good, but this one has been like carrying the same weight for 5-6 days without relief.  I can definitely feel it grinding on my body and wearing me down.......if I weren't vaxxed I can see how it could be trouble

Get well. A few days ago Dix mentioned that the Interior and Island health regions were spiking again. My brother and wife are fully vaccinated (3 doses) and because of pre existing conditions very cautious.

I'm not sure truck drivers should be deciding what happens in schools. This ticks me off, those of us working in schools don't agree so please, keep your protests relevant to your needs/asks:

And protesters' demands have escalated, not just insisting that vaccine mandates be lifted for everyone, but calling for an opening to all businesses including restaurants and gyms, dropping capacity limits at large events and eliminating mask mandates -- especially in schools.

Alberta lifted their mask mandate for schools yesterday but I don't see it here in this school year.

To all those clamoring to end mandates, etc. need to understand that there are going to be long-term health issues for those who survive this.  This pandemic is not over.

Heart-disease risk soars after COVID — even with a mild case

Massive study shows a long-term, substantial rise in risk of cardiovascular disease, including heart attack and stroke, after a SARS-CoV-2 infection.

  They don't even speak for the majority of truck drivers (who did get vaxxed) let alone anyone else.  They just speak for the wackos.

Like a fool I agreed to a drinking game with some co workers over last night to sit around the fire pit

we watched news clips of the protesters and every time any of the yelled "Freedom" you had to take a shot and every time they refernced overthrowing and or arresting the libs you had to take 2 shots.

wowzers 30 min in and drunker then I have been in many years ............... man this hangover is like having those trucks laying on the horn in your house.... need more water and tylenol

Yeah, you have to be careful with those drinking games....it's pretty much like in the old days, watching an NBC feed of a hockey game and having to take a drink every time Pierre Maguire says, "Activate the defense".....

Or every time he mentions the high school a player or player’s relative plays/played at. That’ll get you banged up pretty quick.
