With that said, you're right... that situation was created of his own doing. And you're also right in the fact it probably didn't help team chemistry. The quote above - which is correctly translated although he probably means he wanted to get of the situation of being a healthy scratch - is the only reference to his time in Vancouver in the interview. The stuff about bullying, freezer etc is all stuff written by the reporter but presented as facts. Cant stand when players complain about their contracts and take no responsibility for their play. Loui was untradeable because of his play plain and simple. Does he really think if he had been traded a few years ago he would have played better? Sounds like he can’t accept that he just isn’t an NHLer anymore. Good to get this guy out of the room. Can’t imagine this kind of energy is good for the young guys. Sit on your a$$$ and collect $6.000MIL/yr for five of the years of your contract, now that is what I call class. Not a Swede, but a Dane here (although sadly my Danish isn’t nearly as good these days as it used to be). The “bully” part is a translation of mobbningen which literally means bullying (or mistreatment, victimization, etc). I’d say in the context of the article, the “bullying” refers to Player Name being treated badly/unfairly in the Vancouver market (whether by fans, media, or the organization). As for “the freezer,” that’s a translation of frysboxen, which literally means “the freezer” but I’d probably think of that like a deepfreeze or cold storage, in the sense that Player Name was sort of locked away in the freezer, when it came to his role on the roster (or lack of one).
