Sit on your a$$$ and collect $6.000MIL/yr for five of the years of your contract, now that is what I call class.

Let it be known that the rock bottom of this team’s transition was this:

In hindsight, this may be the most telling of the Player Name (for some reason I can’t type his name)‘s 38 goals in four years as a Canucks.

He literally never recovered from that moment. It's a perfect picture of what the next five years would be. SO PAINFUL

If his contract was so bad for him he would have changed his agent ..

Can’t skate, he even can’t even read his own contract or the ramifications of it.

Lack luster player looking for an excuse..

im actually looking forward to watching him play for Arizona..

especially at home in Vancouver.

Guaranteed Loui plays amazing in Van next year

Not 'Toffoli' amazing but amazing for Loui

I'm sure if you go thru the list of horrible teams (which the Coyotes have been & will continue to be), you're going to find one or two guys score 15 or more goals.

The demand for Player Name to perform is going to increase 10 fold in Arizona,  he wasn’t able to perform here, playing with 2 of the best players / tandem in the world.

Arizona is putting Player Name to the fore front,

and Player Name must live up to his own words of opportunity now.

Highly Doubt he is healthy after 30 games,.

I think his concussions from Boston haunt him, and LTIR should have come into play with this player a long time ago.…

im just curious to know if he collected a signing bonus from us before he left,  it was usually paid in July if I’m correct.

edit: I’ve added 3 occasions of injury to a post below.

Seeing these obvious concussions makes it more understandable why Loui was so terrible with us. He clearly wanted his big payday, and didn’t want to take another hit like that again.  He didn’t want to carry the puck anymore.

Looking at these videos. Was LE damaged goods when he signed his contract here? Did he fake being ok so he could cash in? It would explain a lot and if true, it actually makes me even more angrier at the guy.

I'd give Loui the benefit of the doubt in the 2nd clip and the 3rd clip.

1st clip yea he should have expected to be hit and seen the hit coming.

2nd clip the puck came around the wall and he is skating towards it, its his job to either get it and hold it or chip it out and avoid being killed. The puck took a bad bounce and instead of carrying up the boards, it bounced and went back into the middle and behind Loui, also, Orpik was not looking to play the puck at all, he was coming in for the kill and pinched pretty agressively.

3rd clip Loui reached for the puck the dman went for the hit, Loui popped up and tried to embrace for impact but Murray is a big dude and the hit is going to hurt no matter what.

Loui reaching for the puck and getting the puck out of the zone is the kinda sh*t you want to see players doing without getting hurt. Had he not attempted to get the puck out from within a foot of the blueline, chances are Murray keeps it in the zone and SJS gets a good chance and potentially a goal. It's a risky play to make but give the guy some credit for taking the hit to make the play, I bet you money the boys on the team are cheering him on for making the extra effort to get the puck out. It's unfortunate he got injured but I wouldn't say "he wasn't aware of his surroundings"

His concussions were wellllll before coming to Vancouver and he potted 22g and 30g in consecutive seasons after his last concussion. I wouldnt go and blame the concussions for lack of goal scoring when scored more goals in consecutive seasons after the concussion

Loui's concussion was in the 2013-14 season, he had a pretty bad season that year with 10g in 61 games. The following season after the concussion 22g 47pts in 81gp, then season prior to coming to Vancouver 30g 33a in 82gp. The prior injuries were not hurting his game before he came to Vancouver.... Vancouver was concussion of its own, our team was terrible. Just go look at the roster and the point production from 2016-17. It was atrocious all around. Loui was on pace for 14 goals that season... Which was 1 goal behind both the Sedins who played a full 82 games season. Our highest goal scorer was Horvat with 20 in 81gp..... It was awful

That year the highest goal scorer was Crosby with 44, only 3 guys broke 40 goals and another 23 guys hit 30+ Draisaitl didnt even break 30 playing with McDavid (who only hit 30)

Vancouver sucked and I am so bloody glad that we are no longer in the dark times of Megna, Chaput, Skille, Gaunce, Hutton playing on an NHL team for 55+ games. Those were some of the toughest years to watch in the last 20 years. Pick a year where Vancouver was a hard team to watch play the last 20 years I'd say the 2016-17 season was one of the toughest to watch. Vancouver has spent a lot of time in the top 10 of the league the last 2 decades. We had the WCE, the Sedin Era and then we had a couple years of rebuilding in which LE was part of those rebuilding years. Now we have a new era of Canucks, the rebuild is over and the team is going to start winning. Be thankful our rebuild didnt take as long as Edmonton, Buffalo, Arizona (all 3 are still rebuilding if you ask me) Edmonton has a lot of talent in a few guys but not much of a team. Loui is gone, who cares what he made, who cares what he did or didnt do, the team was in a rebuild it didnt hurt us in any way shape or form we were losing and not scoring regardless of LE. Our window to win is now opening and from here onward anyone who is not producing is subject to blame and criticism. I could care less what happens in a bottom 5 year... I care more about what is happening in a top 10 year.

Agree with your comments but want to also point out to you that players don’t report all their injuries. There is a lot of money involved here and careers at stake. LE may have had issues just prior to signing the 6 year contract. The player would be “smart” in not having all his current ailments documented. Something could have happened to him in his last few games with Boston or in the off season just before he arrived in Vancouver that caused him permanent injury. Maybe he slipped on a banana peel at home, who knows. He wanted that next big contract. I’m not surprised if he was damaged goods before he set on the ice with us. It doesn’t make sense for a guy to be that brutal so quickly after Boston.

Totally agree with you that guys will keep their injuries to themselves in UFA years.

Honestly man its not entirely that LE was brutal when he came to Vancouver, the team sucked royally. Like just look at this roster and also just keep in mind the amount of games played and the point production top to bottom..... Its ugly....like really ugly. LE had injuries in his first couple seasons too which kept him out for a good chunk of time. But 2016-17 was one of the worst seasons for injuries. We led the league in man games lost on forward and 2nd most on D.

Thought I was done with seeing full pages of crappy pasted stat walls but it's pretty hilarious to see our 6 million dollar man being outscored by Baertschi, Sutter, Granlund and tied with Stetcher for points. This in the first year of a 6 year deal where you are supposed to get your best value. Talk about pathetic!

The only reason why you would use the term "ramifications" is if you expect things to turn out bad. Not exactly a neutral stance.

I guess I just don't understand the preconceived negativity on this. I'm not saying the trade will turn out great necessarily, but some people seem needlessly pessimistic in my opinion. There's nothing wrong with hope, but there is everything wrong with giving up before something starts.
