King Heffy
Good fit for him; he gets to avoid the media spotlight and they have a pretty strong team still.

Slegr
At 35, a shell of his former self, but still worth $1.5M. His play has only really deteriorated in the last two years.

Popular Post JamesB
I checked out Phil Kessel in Evolving Hockey's expected goals above replacement. I made a list of all forward who played at least 200 minutes last year, which comprises 508 players. Guess who was dead last in the NHL. ANSWER: Phil Kessel. And he turns 35 in October I don't think he will be getting any better. He was very good in his prime but his career is getting close to the end. A lot of people here (including me) like Zack MacEwan but he was also in the bottom 5 and Adam Gaudette made into the bottom 10. The top two guys in the league were Auston Matthews and Connor McDavid. Matthew Tkachuk was also in the top 5 and Gaudreau was also in the top 10. Treliving is getting a lot plaudits right now and he did make the best of a bad situation in Calgary but, while Calgary will still be a good team next year, they probably won't be quite as good as they were last year and are likely to decline further in the following years. .
