The Isles were ahead on the shot clock (and the scoreboard) but the Canucks had better underlying numbers. As I am hoping for a high draft pick I feel fortunate the Canucks did not get 2 points. Tochett is doing some good things. The team was playing hard. Good be partly a new coach bump but I think the group overall is a high character group. Nice to see Lazar finally get another goal. Too much upside in all departments,. I’d like to see him get to skate on the top 2 lines every now and then.. It must have been difficult for the canucks at full speed, using their peripheral vision to distinguish between the refs and linesmen. Gotta give the refs good mental props, since they were calling one team as if it were a playoff game, and another like a regular season one.
