Before I lose my ish on this management, well see if we are successful in signing Livingstone or Severson or maybe even both this summer as that is most likely the plan.

Go with current forward group and improve defence.

Now let's see how the create cap space

So long story short, we traded for help now assets for a push for the cup!! Except…

that's a solid trade, just made at the wrong time.  Should have held on to the draft to make that kind of deal.  Now they're really screwed themselves

shenn for a 3rd

horvat a 2nd for essentially a late first ab   and two seconds AR FH

No cap relief no weapon used cap no futures….

Impossible to defend and hard not to just laugh at this franchise anymore.

I would argue that far more fans support it lol...

However I will concede that the trade looks a little worse now that Allvin didn't move Boes, Garland or Miller and get some picks

If the rumour of them turning down two 1sts for Miller is true then they blew it completely this TDL

Yeah I don't agree at all with more hardcore fans liking it the trade. But I agree with the second part. I could have been convinced if the rest of the deadline was a success. But imo the deadline flopped on the dismount.

This TDL was a very significant fail for this group.  Pick a f***ing lane ffs

It ain’t gonna get easier in the summer if that’s what they think.

Hope Aqua likes buyouts. Oh and we’ll see if we have to trade another 2nd to dump a contract.

The Canucks are happy to announce that this Trade Deadline thread will now be turned into a screenplay to be directed by Steven Spielberg.

The Canuck organization would like to thank fans for making this a movie worthy script with drama, comedy and colorful posts.

You will all be invited to the Hollywood premier!

;)

Problem is we can't sign anyone with guys like Boes, garland, miller, Myers, OEL on the payroll.

Moving someone.. anyone this TDL was what was going to allow that to happen.

We're going to be over the cap. We're not signing any UFAs.

Absolute garbage TDL. Especially if there was an offer of two 1st for miller.

I liked some of the trades

but the deadline is a failure.

3 times now (last deadline, draft and this deadline) the Canucks failed to free up cap space and trade JT Miller

It's not just the deadline its been the whole year since last deadline. You can't move out any money? GEEZ. Fail.

Still waiting vainly to hear about a pending trade deal.  Not Boeser to the Wild apparently as they got Klingberg using up their cap space.

Not moving out cap, or at least future cap liability for shorter term cap is a complete failure to me.
