    Jay Leno is recovering from burns from a car fire in his garage. Hands and face burned but he is stable. Sad news, but glad he survived.

    Despite the misery of sports, I keep tuning in. Today it's NFL, HHOF, Lions and Canucks. COVID made me appreciate sports on a whole new level...win and lose.

      Not my team guys. I'm in for the long haul...was listening to that song and dealing with stuff about my ex, my pets (who I likely could/should've let go of a bit earlier than I did).

       

      My team is just that, won't ever change.

       

      I could NOT stand a total tear down. Nope. Would hate it and I'd be miserable and cranky.

      I trust what Rutherford thinks is the best course. Someone with 55 years in the game knows whats' what, so if he thinks the only path forward is a tear down I'm fine with it. Or maybe its some other plan, but there isn't much he hasn't seen. 

       

      I keep coming back to Demko, its tough to watch what he's going through, and I doubt anyone has the full story there. Somethings going on we haven't' heard about yet, I'm sure of that.

      MJF was better because he had comedic timing and delivery. Stolz seems to be trying to get an academy award. He seemed to be taking it far to seriously.

      I watched all 8 seasons, the announcer does a really good job and gets better with every season.

       

      its a really cute show, the cameraman follows the pigs around between races and the announcer commentates.

       

      I Can't wait for season 9.

       

      I have only been to a horse race when i was young, so I don't remember much but I bet it's super fun and exciting. A couple beers, some laughs, excitement what's not to like?

      @Dazzle   Weird timing too...I have a foot injury and had JUST told my boss on Wednesday that he'd have to get used to me in my runners for awhile (we have a dress code). Nope, apparently not.

      However.

      Reports are the staff walked out.

      Mitchell deleted his account, why would he do that if he has nothing to hide, unless

      his account got hacked.

      No one is saying anything.

      If it's the previous manager that was doing something wrong, that would explain the staff walking out.

      Doesn't sound good whatever happened.

      I'm not accusing anyone of doing that here, but people are already jumping to conclusions and judging without the whole story... Just take a look at reddit and Twitter. I know that both are cesspits of public discourse, so it's par for the course.

      I overheard my daughter at school drop off this morning giggling with her friends about getting the day off. They have no interest in the monarchy and certainly won't be spending the day mourning.

       

      Myself on the other hand, I'll be mourning the lost productivity as I try to work from home with my kids asking for stuff every 5 minutes!

      I was walking and all of the sudden I remembered that the Bachelorette was on.  It was about 7:20pm.  Thank goodness I was close to home! 

       

      Gabby found love! And with Erich! 

       

      I was started to get hung up reading about family history until my Internet disconnected.  I was looking at my Google Drive and found a document.  Someone sent me on my father's family history years ago. I was reading through the 1600s - 1700s.  Let's see:

       

      Someone drowned in the St Lawrence River in the 1700s

      Someone was a Master Suit Maker in the 1600s

      There was a marriage at Notre Dame in Montreal in the 1600s

       

      To name a few. Interesting stuff, but my Internet disconnected, so that's how far I got.

      Greater Vancouver Area (not sure exactly where you are Deb) is beautiful in the summer, but if you were around for part of it and went to a beach/ outdoor street fest/ hike/ night market then you're not missing out on much.
