The NHL's an absolute joke for posting this:

Sucks having to give up on BOTH home games this week. F COVID
But the silver lining, feels good to give 4 seats to my long time friend and his 2 girls and their friend. Apparently they're pretty stoked, so it all ends well.- Show previous comments 1 more

@J.I.A.H.N Pretty groggy today, but improved a lot since Friday. It's been a rough go but I was really rundown when this thing hit, so I'm taking it really easy and resting a lot.
Thanks for asking, J.I.A.H.N.

Damn you COVID! I was supposed to go to the game Tuesday too! Booooo!

Going to the game tonight!

Wow, anyone watching the Oscars? Will Smith just decked Chris Rock and it seemed like a real deal, not staged.

@Petey_BOI Since the assault happened in the U.S not Canada, we will see what comes out of it.

Really sad to hear of the passing of Glen Todd (Hastings Racetrack). He was a good man...even lending $1M in an interest free loan to keep things rolling during COVID. Was the man who brought Mario Gutierrez here and mentored him.
RIP Mr. Todd...you will be missed. -
For me, it's a matter of these games mattering at all. I mean, not long ago we would've never dreamt they would. Even though the margins are small, it's not a done deal yet. And having great hockey (which the team gave us these past 2 games) is the best.

@bigbadcanucks Perhaps, but let me also point out a couple of teams that have started to falter a bit: Nashville and LA.
Nashville's lost the last couple of games. While this isn't much, every little bit counts and I could see Dallas pass Nashville just based on momentum. Remember that Dallas has games in hand.
I say LA could be one to watch as I feel Edmonton could pass them and be the lowest to beat in the top 3 of the division. They have the same number of games played as us and are potentially ripe for the picking.
So I actually don't think it's so much Dallas as it would be those 2 teams to catch just looking at where each team's at.

OK, time to watch some soccer. G'night all. Go Canucks.

Is it just me or is soccer about the most boring sport to watch on TV (aside from baseball)? I watched the second half and watched how the Canadians dominated possession and tactical play, but found myself bored out of my mind. Trying very hard to be vested in the Men's Canadian team qualifying efforts for the World Cup, but aside from its historical significance and Canadian pride, I find myself dozing off mentally watching these games.
I find Canadian Women's soccer much more compelling and interesting to watch (maybe it's because of all the heat between Canadian Women vs. American Women).
I hope I can grow to appreciate Canadian Men's soccer.

I don't find trade deadline fun or exciting...I hate it.
Everyone feels it's a golden ticket to get "better". It's also got potential to get fleeced or get worse. -
Sun is out, Saturday/game day. What could be better?
-
LOL, decided to throw in a random mixed "tape" in the CD player (Google them) as I do some Spring cleaning and get ready for a Big Brother's pick up.

OMG I LOVE MY LIFE. Going to the game Saturday with my friend and then again on Sunday with my brother & his buddies in an encore suite!. I am one happy lady.

@smithers joe Nope...right now it's a Petey jersey. My Bieksa wore out...the number is actually falling off the back. Got a lot of use out of that one.
@AriGold....cheers. Have a great time, I'm just loving the fact that I'm going to b2b games and that's my weekend plan before going back to work. Some people go away for Spring break...I go to hockey games. Go big then go home!

Made a mighty tasty pot of chili for the game. Just sitting here, waiting....

A great Sunday:
1. Most importantly GD Canucks
2. Curling semis and finals beforehand
3. Dad is cooking a healthy dinner for me
4. Workout
5. Off work next week for Spring break...perfect ending to my Sunday after the Canuck's win -
I'm off to buy 50 lbs of hay for a 2 lb bunny.
People at the barn always assume I have a horse. Nope, she just eats like one that's all.- Show previous comments 3 more

I would if I could (cousins have horses).
Nope, just a hungry bunny.
Hay at pet food stores cost about $25/bag. Lasts less than a week for us.
A 50 lb bale of hay (that my bun prefers) at the barn....$16 + tax. Lasts a few months. Although I haven't bought recently so the price is likely higher to reflect supply/demand and now gas prices.

Burr's awesome...my "other" daughter is in the hospital and he sent her a personalized video of well wishes. To say it made her day is an understatement.

I'm with you. Earlier in the year when stuff looked bleak, I thought it made sense to do a trade and re-tool. But since the management change, Miller has really grown into a real leader.
Really what I'd like to see now is some smaller moves to make cap space, get in a 3C and maybe a d upgrade and let the boys run with it next year.

I honestly can't stand the "give me a puck, stick, whatever" signs at games. It's rude. It's become a thing but I really think we should be teaching our kids to appreciate the event without asking for items.
