If you want to be the lunkhead who drills holes, plugs stuff in, carts around the network hardware then you don't need stats.

If you actually want to plan/design networks, you need to know basic stat concepts. Probability is important for making redundancy and security decisions.

If you want to program networks you better learn some math.
