Great pic Ghost.

Isn't this the 'ol' legend' who pitched his wife out a 2nd story window?

Guy was telling me(claiming they grew up in the same town)..apparently was a Helluva' good guy; once he had a few drinks mind you, all Hell broke loose.

Gotta admit, for a guy in the early 1960's with that picture he was pretty ripped.

Bobby Hull agrees with this statement.

Jaromir Jagr too (even though there is no public photo of him throwing hay)

Another hard worker from his birth is Pavel Zacha. Not sure if pitching hay down is somehing he did as well though.

The only concern is about Virtanen getting gassed quickly. JB wants his fitness level to go up in the summer and that can be done. We don't want him to end up like Kassian where he ends up gassed and caught up ice when we need him to back check, a la Kassian.

Fitness is no hurdle -- anyone can get raise their fitness level, let alone athletes. It doesn't take a summer to get fit, especially not for 18 year olds.

He's killing it tonight.

Those are great, thanks.

Power moves to the net. Soft hands. No hesitation as an 18-year old with only a handful of games in his pro career to stand up for a teammate who took a cheap shot the night before.

What's not to like? Not much.

Virt brings everything we're lacking in our lineup right now. If Kass ever get his head on straight, we are going to be a pain in the ass to play against for the next few years. These guys will bring size, speed, finesse, power and knuckle chucking prowess.

I really hope he proves to mgmt that he has the disciple to play in the NHL this summer. Benning will be keeping a close eye on his progress and I think if he gives it a honest, hard and intelligent effort with training this summer he will be up getting NHL experience next season.

His size, speed and hitting ability makes him so interesting as a 4th liner. Add in his offence that will come and the probability of playing with another one of our dynamic prospects... Pretty exciting stuff.

Yup, Jake has no fear and stands up when others won't, no matter who it is, and he can throw 'em. When the red face comes out, look out! Who can deny he wouldn't have taken a piece out of Ferklund? His teammates must love that too, and coming from a kid who's not a goon by trade should get their courage up as well.

Absolutely no doubt that Benning sees and dearly wants this on his team, and that Pedan won't be far behind either. The kicker is that these guys have skill and can play, not like some of the plugs Burke is trying to bring in to toughen-up the Flames.

Looks like he's getting more confident, wouldn't be surpised if he scores a couple of goals in this series.

Can't want for trainning camp next year as there are going to be at least 3 "rookies" (Corrado, Clendening, Baertschi) on the team and most likely 4-5 will make the team
