Although his play in the AHL has not exactly been inspiring... 20 points in that league is not outstanding. Not happy to see a player rewarded for poor play but maybe stats don't tell the whole tale and I guess we don't have much else in the way of NHL ready call ups.Benning said that while he has struggled to put p points lately, it has not been due to lack of effort or playing the right way. Jensen,Shinkaruk,and Gaunce have all underachieved this season.. imo....It will be good to see Jensen up with the Canucks,but do you really see him on the 4th line..? The Canucks are building Kassians character and he is learning that consistency will go a long ways to staying in the lineup. Kassian is responding to that and has had some good games of late. So, before you start the 'oh poor Kassian is being mistreated ' routine, why don't you see if he draws into the lineup. did you miss the second of last season? If we're willing to part ways with any of our better prospects, I want it to be Jensen. Benning said he's willing to move prospects if other prospects/young NHL ready prospects are coming back.
