The possibility of seeing Gaudette possibly turning pro and being able to play with him given the chemistry he has should be enough to entice him to sign with us. Of course, if he signs with the another team, that probably means he wants to win right away but hopefully that's not the case and he'll want to continue to rip it up with Gaudette by his side next year. Still, I'd welcome him as a free signing (assuming he understands that he's going to have to fight it out with the rest of our prospects for a shot at the NHL). I don't see why he can't make the team next year over Megma or Skille or Camarosa or Chaput. This kid and Boeser could make us a contender again as early as next year!! Gaudette sure can snipe it up high, and he definitely loves to celebrate after scoring! Good vision and can skate well. He's got all the things you look for in a scoring forward and could become a 2nd or 3 line scoring threat and PP specialist. Gem of a pick in the 5th round. MacEwan has a chance of making the NHL but no way is he that close. He might turn into something great, after all power forwards take longer to develop but he's no guarantee.
