It's almost a sure thing that he will be chosen which protects all of their other players. Seeing as the value to protect players is quite high, it's worth it to keep him and have him being taken in the ED. There's not a whole lot of teams looking for a number 1 guy and I'm pretty certain he wants to be the number 1.
