What I love is that this team is finally serious about DEVELOPING their kids in junior or Utica.

Hopefully Dahlen, Goldy, Boeser and Jake will start in Utica.

Feel like Goldy has nothing really left to prove in the AHL. Benning seemed pretty convinced he was NHL ready when we acquired him. Will be interesting to see though. Competition in camp is great. No free passes.

So if Burmistrov and Gagne get signed, is it safe to say Sutter is history?

Or are Horvat's rights being traded because they can't come to terms on a deal?

They're just organizing an oversize load truck and trailer to move foundational pieces.

Gaunce has to pass waivers this year.

NMC through this year.

If all these happen, Goldy and Jake are almost certain to start it Utica, and even Boeser might be on the bubble.  Not such a bad thing, really.

We are signing centres like Henrik has already retired. This coming season:

Hank

Horvat

Gagner

Sutter

Burmistrov

Guance

I agree Goldobin excelled in the AHL, he deserves a shot in the NHL as long as the coach will play him more than 5 minutes/night.

Can never have too many centers.

Ideally, you want a couple on your bottom six lines for draws, so the primary guy can be aggressive without worry of getting tossed.

Centers tend to be the best defensive forward on their line, so having a pair generally adds two way effectiveness.

I like Burmistrov - relatively physical, good skater, solid two way player, not so strong in the faceoff circle - likely a winger conversion with upside and responsible defensive presence.

If these cap numbers and terms are exact its actually not that terrible.

None of these players are going to make us appreciably better this or next year but they take the heat off of the kids and ensure valuable trade pieces for the tdl in pump and dumps
