Not sure if you guys had a chance to catch the Quinn Hughes interview on 650 am sportsnet radio today Wendesday,  Dec 19th, 2018.

Kid makes several arrogantly impressive statements, including he is ready for the nhl because quote he feels "too dominant" in college..

Catch the whole interview on the 650 am website.. comments welcome!

That is not what he said.

They asked him how he feels he has improved from last year to this year and he said he feels he is more dominant on the ice.

No where did he say he is too dominant for the NCAA.

Nice try.

Haven’t heard the interview yet, but there’s truth to what he’s saying (even if it’s not what he was saying). For example, I believe Hughes has something like a 60-70% rate on controlled exits. These are just crazy numbers. He’s able to advance the puck, with control, seemingly at will. It’s fun to watch, but I’m not sure it’s enough of a challenge to actually develop his game much further (or at least that part of his game). He almost has too many options, given the way he can control a game, and basically choose whatever path he wants from his own zone to the attacking zone, and he can just get there off his natural abilities.

geez what a load of fluffy hype!

dont we want him confident?  why would it  matter anyways?

if you search for problems you will find them.  i find it best to search for positivity, as guess what?  you find that too.  the only real problem is when you make stuff up by extending what you have heard with no regard for the truth.   its popular these days....

Isnt that tho a little rude to declare your self king of college? He is setting his expectations too high.. cocky arrogant you name it.

So did he actually say "too dominant" as you quoted? The "too" is extremely significant. Because he obviously is dominant at that level.

Here's the interview

Sooooo they asked how his game has changed and he said he has gotten more dominant in college - Nowhere does he say "he is ready for the nhl because quote he feels "too dominant" in college."

He even says he doesn't know if he will come play for the Canucks at the end of the year.

Very fitting user name for the original poster :)
