Joe Biden Debates Donald Trump September 29

One of Sanders' staffers got asked how on earth he can expect to tax the wealthy to pay for his social programs.  Citing that the wealthy are hesitant to ever just give away their money.

The staffer shrugged and simply said something along the lines of "Bloomberg just spent almost $700 million for a vanity campaign he had no hope of winning without blinking.  When he was polling lower his response was to throw money at it".

Shut the interviewer up pretty quick.

Common sense. The bane of the establishment.

If Bloomberg wanted to throw away 700 million he should of spared himself the humiliation and just voted for the socialist Bernie

its all a tax deduction for him, in fact, he's probably already found a way to come out ahead on the whole thing.

Last night was unfortunate.

The problem here is that for whatever reason, Bernie supporters, in spite of their enthusiasm, didn't turn out. The support from younger voters was not as advertised, so there was a significant shortfall. Many are pointing fingers, but this lack of support is, at least to me, the main reason things transpired as they did.

The priority of the democratic base largely seems to be to vote for whomever is against Trump. Whatever gaffes and stumbles Biden has gone through to date don't seem to matter much, as his popularity has recently experienced a massive surge regardless.

As for any future debates he has against Trump; well, they'll be painful to watch. Just bear in mind that it's extraordinarily difficult to be more stupid and incompetent then Trump. My guess is that they'll be like any other debate, where whatever points or non-points either contestant makes will be good enough for the supporters on both sides to declare victory

It's pretty shocking to me that Bernie wasn't able to get his core constituency out to vote in larger numbers. I can't help but think that Bernie, despite the enthusiastic support from all the Bernie Bros isn't as popular as we're led to believe. What this primary/caucus season is revealing is perhaps a chunk of his support in 2016 may just have been anti Clinton voters.

Trump is President largely due to Clinton being so unpalatable. Perhaps the reason Bernie isn't performing as well as he did in 2016 is because he doesn't have Clinton to kick around.

It's bizarre really.....

...it's like they're completely stoked to attend rallies and events, but can't be bothered to leave the house and visit a voting booth....

Makes ya wonder how many at the rallies are underage.  I could imagine that being a thing.

Not undermining your concern, since my theory would not likely cover that many ppl.  But I would think it's a portion.

Most reliable voters for the Democrats are suburban women, black women and voters over the age of 65.

For what is worth I have heard lot of younger Sanders supporters complain about their friends not voting.

Maybe Bernie needs to rally his young supporters by getting behind Biden?

I have friends in their 30’s who don’t vote. It pisses me off and has led to proper arguments

To those that do not vote but complain I say

Go &^@# yourself!

Although I'd rather they don't vote than make a completely uneducated vote.   People not having any thought whatsoever into their votes is what got the USA into this mess in the first place.

If Bloomberg donated all of his money to the poor it would probably be enough to solve the housing crisis.

Whenever these confused people complain about how social programs are tantamount to giving away free stuff, they need to be reminded that the wealthy already get a mountain of free stuff in the form of inheritance, interest, etc

With that in mind I don't think it's all that unreasonable to allot the poor the resources they need just to survive.

If you are talking about Trump voters, I think it’s misconception that they didn’t know what they voted for.

He had highest numbers amongst white man over the age of 50 with no college degree.

Lot of these people voted because they hated Obama, foreigners are taking jobs, using benefits etc.

They are nostalgic for a time, when America was a white Christian nation, Mexicans and immigrants were silent and blacks were segregated.

Meat loaf mashed potato and corn dinner, wholesome TV shows, degenerates were not having parades.

Jokes about Jews, blacks, redskins, wops, Polacks were not racist but just good ol’ wholesome Al Jolson type of humor.

If you didn’t stand for the anthem or a flag you would get your teeth kicked in.

And if you even looked or whistled at a white woman you got Emmitt Till treatment.

So with that being said, I think lot of people knew what they voted for.

I'm really hoping that there were a larger portion of uneducated voters rather than outright bigots.

It's not the American way to spend tax dollars on tax payers
