Popular Post -Vintage Canuck-
Quote Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced today that the club has signed forward Josh Leivo to a one-year contract at a value of $1.5 million. "Josh made a positive addition to our roster last year," said Benning. "He has a versatile game, is a strong two-way player and generates offence throughout our lineup. We're excited to have Josh sign as a member of the Vancouver Canucks." Leivo, 25, recorded 24 points (10-14-24) and 32 penalty minutes in 76 games played with Toronto and Vancouver this past season, setting career-highs in games played, goals, assists, and points. In 133 career NHL games over parts of six seasons split between Toronto and Vancouver, Leivo has collected 46 points (24-22-46) and 52 penalty minutes. A native of Innisfil, Ontario, Leivo was acquired from Toronto on December 3, 2018, in exchange for Michael Carcone. He was originally selected by Toronto in the third round, 86th overall, at the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. https://www.nhl.com/canucks/news/vancouver-canucks-josh-leivo/c-308194564 1 2

Popular Post theo5789
I really enjoyed Leivo's game last year. Hopefully he finds a nice role here on the 3rd line and fill in for the top 6 when needed.

Provost
Totally in the right range. He gets to show if he is a regular NHLer that can contribute well as a 3rd liner.

I.Am.Ironman
That is great value. This is a perfect show me deal for Leivo. If he can continue to produce the way he did after coming over from TML he will get a well deserved raise next year.
Alflives
One year deals for guys seems to be happening a lot. Good deal for us. Another show me contract for the player. 1
Fanuck
Quite reasonable for what he brings each night. If he can bump his production up to about 30-35pts even better.
Popular Post CRAZY_4_NAZZY
Leivo won me over when he fought Kesler who was trying to pester with Pettersson. Guy was only with us for 5 ish months yet embraced his teammates as his brothers. Could even see his chemistry develop a bit with Pearson and Horvat and he constantly looked like he genuinely was enjoying himself. He was smiling and celebrating in every goal like he was having a blast. He is one guy you know who loves being a Canuck. Happy he is back and hope he has a strong year and we lock him up long term 4 1 5

GB5
Nice to get Leivo back in the fold of things. He is a solid third line player whom can move up the line up if needed. I was happily impressed with him last year
Ralph.
Awesome. Great deal for a guy that really seems to enjoy himself here, and if he can take another step this season even better.
RakuRaku
Leivo > Schaller Leivo > Goldobin Leivo > Eriksson Therefore, we can tell those 3 irrelevant guys to GTFO!
