billabong
Great deal. 3 years is still a long time at an affordable cap hit 1
Popular Post -AJ-
$7.5M final year, so that's the qualifying offer. Don't mind it as I'm pretty sure that he'll be worth $7.5M (especially factoring in cap inflation) in three years' time. 1 5

So that's where the qualifying offer must be in year 3, it'll be interesting to see how much Pettersson and Hughes get on their post ELC contract, that will definitely affect Brock, and if Brock can't stay healthy and doesn't perform to expectations, wouldn't be surprised to see him moved before that 3rd year is up.

We won't be signing him for a short-term deal at that point anyway. Hopefully the backloading issue is resolved in the next CBA.

apollo
Wow... Here we have it, Bennings best ever contract. Never in my wildest dreams would I have expected Brock at anything under 7 mill... Considering Marner Matthew's are 11mill... Shockingly low tbh... Now I see why Brock held out... They were really low balling him. Had Jim given him 3x6 offer he wouldn't have missed camp. I hope there isn't a single Canucks fan on the planet that is upset at Brock for missing camp. He must have felt insulted under 6 mill. Nothing I'd love more than seeing Brock get paid 13 mill on his next deal over 8 years. Three superstar years coming up. Popular Post DeNiro
A 3 year deal may turn out to be the best option. In 3 years the cap is expected to go way up and we’ll have a bunch of contracts coming off the books. If in 3 years he’s worth 10 million I think we’ll all be very happy. Means he outperformed his contract big time and developed into an elite player. More time to really see where he plateaus too. Welcome back Boes! Let’s start the push for the playoffs! 2 1

Ossi Vaananen
That is cheap. A win for the organization and GMs everywhere. Brock should can his agent though. Damn, I never even considered under 6.
