Because a goal was scored immediately after the infraction. So even if the ref called a penalty, Boeser's  goal would have been on the delayed penalty and negated the pp anyways. So why bother

not the way I saw it, the goal came first, then the high stick

What if it's a double minor like it should of been with Brock bleeding. Goal negates only two minutes. That's how it should of went.

Yep.

Not sure why those refs are getting paid if they don't even know that part of the rule book. Amateur hour reffing....as usual lol.

Gonna be short lived when Makar and the Avalanche play a couple more games.

But still, Hughes and Makar. The next generation of great defenseman.

Nah, when Makar has a cold second half of the season Hughes is going to really shine. Hughes will never be a goal scoring threat like Makar, but he will be better in most other aspects.

It's the Internet. I taught my kids not to give a sh&% what people on the internet say.  It makes life much more enjoyable.

Just saying...

It's great to give you kids the skills they need to deal with the sht in this world. It's also dumb to give an excuse for that sht.

Also, these people on the internet aren't your kids. get off your high horse man.

He's been one of the best Canucks in the first period.

I disagree.

I just meant he seems to be really slow on getting shots off, passing the puck, or really making a decision on what to do; which leads to him getting checked. He had some good opportunities in the first but didnt make a decision quick enough and lost the puck.
