Even Japan is going to start living with Covid like it’s the flu. Vaccines are available, so are boosters, and it’s going to be time to live again. Scary thought for some, I know, as BC and Canada have been living very scared. It’ll be up to people to decide what’s best for them, rather than govt telling them. A good concept.

The PPC decided to run on a platform that included a lack of mandates.  The people of Canada decided to not give them a single seat.

Covid is not the flu.  We will continue to have restrictive measures for those (adults) who don’t get vaccinated against Covid.  I can see added taxes for these people too, to offset their extra healthcare costs.

I've always thought that about gyms.

Ours was very good and most people just left them on but I went early before the majority of people got there.

My moaning about gyms was more about the restrictions not making sense in relation to other venues and activities.

Not unlike the way Warhippy sees it.

you weren't moaning. Being legitimately bummed about losing something you like isn't a problem. Its the yahoo's with the "open 'er up" yap that ruin it for everyone.

I support that. Everyone who isn’t vaccinated should continue getting blocked out of society. But for those who have, the choices should rest back with them on whether to attend things, and we’ll need to open society back up. We’ve reached the peak, and it’s downhill skiing from here.

Exactly!  It’s the “speed bump” people who are the bane of society.  They are cowardly, selfish, and losers from loserville.

We don't know we have, it's starting to catch fire in schools, which means it's going to spread to families now

once the anti-viral treatments are easier to get, and this wave has passed, I think we'll see things open up for early summer.

It’s definitely been like that since the vaccine mandates and passport.  I liked what dr. Bonnie said about the booster being part of the vaccine passport.  She said some people didn’t have a chance to have their booster, so a passport (for the booster) wouldn’t be fair - YET.  Those who aren’t boosted will be restricted soon.  Got to love that!

A major grocery chain is limiting the number of customers allowed in its British Columbia stores "until further notice" in an effort to curb the spread of COVID-19.

https://vancouverisland.ctvnews.ca/save-on-foods-imposes-50-capacity-limits-at-b-c-grocery-stores-1.5746624

The anti groups have targeted stores for rallies and to openly try bullying customers to ditch masks.

Make no mistake the anti crowd is anti business and anti worker

The ramifications is places like this running so short on staff that rhey need to take action now just to keep enough staff to stay open

I don't care If someone is anti heat ever ...... obeying the mask and safety rules keeps others safe and helps keep workers safe.

If you don't want to follow the rules atleast don't hurt workers and owners by causing them to miss more work

For save on to do this on their own it should tell you how bad the sick calls are getting

These antivaxxers are the lowest of the low in our society.  Any unvaccinated adult (except excused) should be turned away from our hospitals if they have Covid.

Many years ago the family is having a nice meal of roast beef, mash potatoes, gravy and some veggies. I catch my sister's eye and quietly say Blackie sure tastes good. She agrees. My other sister, with a fork full of Blackie half way to her mouth stops and considers what I had just said. All of a sudden it dawned on her what

was going down. She drops her fork and bursts into tears. 'Mission accomplished'. Today she is a meat eater but that night my Mom had to do some explainin.

Rabbits. My Dad and Step mom decided to raise rabbits, had the 3 of us kids feed them and care for them; but did not tell us they were food creatures.

We kids thought of them as pets, until they were on the plate.

Haven't had rabbit since, and likely never will.

Side note, that's when the world started changing big time; if your parents will do that to you, what else is going on in their head?

Oh right- they lied about Santa, the Easter bunny and tooth fairy.

So liars, mmm what else did they lie about?

Maybe I'm not as smart as they said, or as good a kid, or................ maybe they don't actually love me and are just faking that too.

Rough few months as a kid.

Reminds me of my friends story of his rabbit growing up.

Parents said the bunny ran away.  At dinner time, they were having chicken with 4 drumsticks.

I went to a specialist yesterday. They were so short staffed a receptionist placed me in the wrong Dr's office. Lucky enough the Dr was smart enough to correct the mistake. Sickness, and being worn out I suspect.

How many alarm bells have to go off to get people to get with the program?

The resisters are the attention seekers.

They are the dumb. However, they have found this damn internet...accessible by their phone. Used well, it is like having a genius in your pocket. Used poorly, it gives you confirmation bias for whatever random belief.

So, now they have a broadcast voice to the masses via social media, they have a reason other than their ineptitude for why their life sucks, they have a groups of 'friends' that 'like' and 'follow' them.

Someone tell me again how not being vaxxed isn't clogging up the hospitals when so few aren't vaxxed but are over 1/3 if all hospitalized cases or more
