He's vaccinated that's why they hope for a speedy recovery. He's only vaxxed because his daughters who seem to have more common sense than he does begged him to get vaxxed. He said he had a very bad reaction to the vax and that's what he's been bitching about. But perhaps he had a bad reaction because his system is so damaged from drinking an Olympic pool sized amount of alcohol and snorting half of Colombia since his teens.

Wife just tested positive twice. She works at a school, they have sent her home until she can provide a neg result. 

She feels fine, as do I. I've tested neg twice just now. That means i can still work right? 

Stupid covid.

My wife and I both got our 2nd boosters today. Got the email for an appointment invite this morning, and booked an appointment for this afternoon. 6 months 1 day since our first booster. So far no side effects.

COVID is ravaging my school right now and parents are sending kids to school sick right and left.  Most kids are just getting a fever and cough, but we've had several very sick staff members.

Update: For the past 36 hours I've had a headache, and chills. In the previous 3 shots, nothing, nadda, not even a sore arm. This one really has knocked me on my rear end.

Today marks the one month mark since I tested positive.

 

Not gonna lie, this is kind of scary because I feel it lingering. Trying to get back to normal...tested myself at Grouse on Friday and passed the test. But today I'm wiped and it seems to be a lot of fatigue that's not normal for me. I never usually feel tired. I'm also wheezy today (out of the blue) so I know I'm not quite there yet. But be damned...I tried a light weighy workout thoday and won't just buckle to this thing. I know it's likely best to "just rest" but 3.5 weeks of that had me feeling quite depressed so this is an effort to get back to the land of the living. Despite it being a bit of a struggle after the fact (I felt great at Grouse but it's afterward that it seems to remind me it's still there).

 

Our school is also being hard hit right now but our parents are really good and most keep the kids home as long as needed. Not all mind you. It's working it's way through our staff and some do report it being much tougher than expected. 

 

I really feel that people who undermine the severity of this don't understand how it randomly selects people to slam. I happened to be completely depleted/exhausted when I contracted it so that likely factored in. But be careful what you wish for....I'm scared of long term repercussions because I can tell that this isn't going away easily...it's trying to stick around.
