smokes
I don't understand the hysteria of going out to buy toilet paper. Your body doesn't start making you go to the bathroom more just because you are at home. And with spills and stuff you use a rag. Your main concern is probably be food because when it happened in Wuhan and panic buying happened...it was fast. Like within hours store shelves were emptied and if your house don't have food then you out of luck. Make sure you stock up on food especially non perishables. If you have pets, then you need to make sure you stock up at least a couple of months of food and litter. Lots of people are resorting to feeding thier pets people food over here.

nuckin_futz
Couple things really stand out. USA numbers climbing rapidly to 547. Norway has 176, for a country of 4 million that's a lot. Iceland somehow has 50 cases. India has 39 cases (that number could explode), San Marino 39 cases. Canada 64. Popular Post RUPERTKBD
Nice to see a Cease and Desist" order given to this bible punching con artist, but one has to wonder why he isn't being charged with fraud....again: https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/world/ny-ag-hits-jim-bakker-with-cease-and-desist-order-over-alleged-coronavirus-cure/ar-BB10Xnjd?li=AAggFp4 Quote New York's attorney general has ordered a prominent televangelist to stop peddling an alleged coronavirus elixir on his show. Attorney General Letitia James’s office sent a cease-and-desist order to Jim Bakker Tuesday ordering him to stop promoting “Silver Solution” as a remedy for the coronavirus. During a Feb. 12 episode of the “The Jim Bakker Show,” guest Sherrill Sellman claimed that Silver Solution was able to eliminate some strains of the coronavirus. Asked if the Silver Solution would be effective against the COVID-19 coronavirus, Sellman replied, "Let's say it hasn't been tested on this strain of the coronavirus, but it's been tested on other strains of the coronavirus and it has been able to eliminate it within 12 hours." However the World Health Organization has warned that there is currently no treatment for the novel coronavirus, and the Centers for Disease Control says there is no known cure for other coronavirus variants that cause SARS and MERS. "Your show’s segment may mislead consumers as to the effectiveness of the Silver Solution product in protecting against the current outbreak," the cease-and-desist order said. "Any representation on the Jim Bakker Show that its Silver Solution products are effective at combating and/or treating the 2019 novel coronavirus violates New York law.” The product is available for purchase on the show’s website. The attorney general ordered Bakker to stop promoting the product as a coronavirus cure or treatment and to put a disclaimer on its site that says the product hasn’t been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. James’ office gave Bakker ten days to show that it complied with the order, or face legal action. “In addition to being mindful about our health, we must also beware of unscrupulous actors who attempt to take advantage of this fear and anxiety to scam or deceive consumers,” James said in a statement. Messages to Bakker for comment weren’t immediately returned. Bakker was convicted in 1989 on multiple counts of fraud after he stole millions of dollars in a fundraising scandal. He spent five years in prison before returning to TV in 2003. I personally see religion in general as one gigantic scam, but the people who put their faith in a greater power do not deserve to be swindled by scumbags like Bakker, who enrich themselves personally, under the guise "doing the Lord's work". 1 1 2

Shift-4
https://www.ft.com/content/f3db4bfe-ed33-3300-80ea-c0fdfd2dc7e7 Quote Italy extends coronavirus lockdown to entire country Miles Johnson and Davide Ghiglione Italy has announced the entire country will be placed into quarantine conditions in its government’s most dramatic step yet to contain the second largest outbreak of coronavirus outside of China. Giuseppe Conte, Italy’s prime minster, from Tuesday imposed restrictions on the movement of the whole of Italy, a population of over 60m people, with Italians instructed to limit leaving their houses unless for urgent health or work reasons. Schools and universities will be closed across the entire peninsula and all public gatherings will be banned until April 3rd. The emergency measures come after Italy experienced a large jump in the number of cases over the last two days, overtaking South Korea as the largest outbreak outside of China. “If public health is an asset that is endangered, we are forced to impose sacrifices,” Mr Conte said at a press conference on Monday evening, calling the new emergency measures “I stay at home”. “There will no longer be a red zone, the whole of Italy will be a protected area,” Mr Conte said. “We have to avoid moving around other than for emergencies or essential work reasons within designated areas." Early on Sunday morning, Mr Conte’s government announced that large swathes of Italy’s north, centred around the prosperous northern region of Lombardy, would be placed under quarantine conditions. Just imagine being stuck in Italy. All that red wine and prosciutto. Not sure I could handle it. Edited March 9, 2020 by Shift-
